@MikeBales Artemis is not taking humans "to the moon".. it is taking people AROUND the moon in a free trajectory orbit. There is a huge difference. Artemis II should be called "Apollo 8, 2026 DEI version 2", as MANY news stories about Artemis II ARE JUST ABOUT A WOMAN AND A BLACK MAN.

I'm honestly shocked at how the general public has no idea that Artemis II is taking humans to the moon and will be the furthest humans have ever flown. We gotta get people stoked! These four humans are flying to the moon!

My opinion is that Artemis II is simply a DEI mission, and should be called "Apollo 8, 2026 DEI version". I'm a child of Apollo. My Uncle worked on the wiring and testing of the Instrumentation Ring(s) for every Saturn V Moon mission. I watched the Apollo 11 lunar landing on a B&W TV when I was just 8yrs old, and went on to have a small part in developing and building the first CCMS-Checkout, Control and Monitoring Subsystem, hardware for the Shuttle LPS-Launch Processing System. Please understand that I am 100% pro space exploration and a proponent for manned spaceflight...but, NASA should be building upon the lessons of Apollo, not acting as if it needs to re-learn all of the hard fought technical knowledge that was Apollo. NASA should not be framing this as a great steppingstone...simply because the first human woman and the first black human are aboard a manned spacecraft that will orbit the Moon.

Notice how they're not even going to try to fake LANDING on the moon? They're just going to claim they flew AROUND it. I'm sure the 3D rendered videos will be very convincing... NASA is a fraud.
