Marathon fans are left wondering "what happened?" as the Cryo Archive event that they expected to reignite the community has resulted in Marathon's worst weekend, ever. Its Saturday peak was lower than Friday (AGAIN) and it was also lower than the previous Monday and every single weekday before that. An important note is that the Cryo Archive is ONLY available on the weekend and it's still struggling to get players back online. Spiraling.

Ok, I def understand the decision to make Cryo Archive weekends only now (I still think that it will be rough for some ppl who are busy on weekends)
But the amount of loot you get and stress that map instils is good to have only a few days a week.
It also gives you a TON of keys to work towards on other maps the other days of the week. And if Cryo was around 24/7 I don't think ppl would play any other map.

Gonna keep an open mind about CRYO & Ranked being 'Weekend Only', but this just seems like a classic Bungie move to me. Just illogical decision making. Seems like they are limiting access to make it feel more elusive and drag out content longer. Maybe there is a good reason tho 🤷♂️ Ranked being weekend only is insane to me tho. Maybe a hot take: I don't like that the Compiler drops a unique weapon. I definitely think there should be SOME really good reward. But I've literally only seen this gun used on players vibing in Perimeter.
I just don't think the "Raid Exotic" approach suits an Extraction Shooter
