One can imagine what a huge success it would be for tourists to see this pageant of elephant robots with feelings of relief and delight that no live elephant is being tortured !!

These Robot elephants look so life- like and fantastic and can do all required rituals at temples. Imagine all the efforts and time put in on real elephants on feeding, maintaining, parading and most of all abusing gets minused in one shot.

@anandmahindra When a blessing is forced it becomes a curse ! The elephant has been conditioned by innumerable beatings to raise her trunk to bless 100s of people everyday...it is hard for them - the suffering, boredom and forced human interaction. Please don't endorse it.

Enrichment is an important as it facilitates physical (motor and sensory), cognitive and social activity among the animals. This is just one step in a long journey and it will be many months (even over a year) before these macaques can be released as a troop. #WRRCIndia
