@squigme I for one among baffled as to why Nintendo would not release SW1 versions of their system sellers alongside SW2 versions (even if they could get them to run how they wanted on SW1, which they confirmed they couldn’t). Not like they would cannibalise sales of the SW2 or anything…

@WSJ4L I dont have a gripe with the system, its a gripe with the company choosing to alienate the userbase as if they were the console being phased out. It just isn't a great business decision. Its literally the only complaint ive seen from OLED ppl. Glad sales are good. Not the point.

Nintendo has announced that 1st party games moving forward exclusive on Switch 2, will have different prices for digital vs physical. This is to reflect the cost production of the physical cart. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is $69.99 physical & $59.99 digital.

I've been fascinated to see how Resident Evil Requiem would fare on Switch 2. UK physical data is in, and it hasn't done huge numbers on Switch 2. But it did more in its first week than Mario Tennis Fever. It's broadly the same as what Cyberpunk 2077 did last year (physical)
