@largo35839158 @Nicholai_Korea The issue is that there is still no proof that genes are a factor in a person being gay, the statement/claim one was born this way is it is unfounded in factual evidence. Could it be genetic? Possibly but till it is proven one cannot assume that which isnt backed up as factual.

@largo35839158 @Nicholai_Korea Sounds more like you need to work on your wording, at the end of your comment you stated "There is no *single* diabetes gene, just as there is no *single* 'gay' gene." The "just as" means these two are related in how you are using the example.

You have compared it to the method of parents passing on genes for diseases as being similar/same as passing on gay gene

So hemophilia was hypothesized to be hereditary, rember that was in a time pre genetics as a science. But till it was proven it was not known as fact there is a difference

At best you can say I think it is and will be proven, but not as anything more.

Because you can not claim such a thing with any certainty without that evidence. That is just argument from ignorance, among other issues

@largo35839158 @Nicholai_Korea You said there was no diabetes gene either, which implies there is no gay gene. So genes are what make us who we are especially at birth. So therefore someone can not be born gay, it is learnt behavior/personality. Having certain types of desires is not the same as born this way
