A nuclear-armed Iran would be a disaster for the entire Middle East; the Saudis would instantly demand a nuke of their own. And Iran has been fighting proxy wars with the US for 20 years. For Putin, that’s a feature, not a bug. THIS is the guy the right now supports. It’s nuts.
