The new #LEGOBatman: Legacy of the Dark Knight unfortunately also has #Woke elements. They made Catwoman, Jim Gordon, and Batgirl black. Stop with the race swapping of White Characters! Hopefully they at least give us an option to change the skin color of the characters. 🤨

Jim Gordon’s and Catwoman’s skin color dont matter, just look at The Batman, both played by POC and done wonderfully

@XeReeXee Race swapping is ok under the condition that the character still acts like the character and Jim Gordon still acts like a good cop, Batgirl still acts like Batgirl, and Catwoman still acts like Catwoman. Also Catwoman was actually black in the comic, Batman Year One

@XeReeXee @SuitQueen_ There are many different versions of Selina but the mainline in canon version is a biracial Cuban woman. Hell the most popular mainstream version of her right now is the one from absolute Batman who is Brazilian.

The sex worker part I thought was fine because Selina grew up on the streets. That was later retconned in the 90s era where she had the purple suit

It's wild to see people care about this because like, they've been race swapping Batman characters since 1967 when Eartha Kitt played Catwoman. In all likelihood, if you're doomposting about Lego Batman, that probably happened before your parents were born
