@Musecow you can also share a collection of ready to use commands with anyone you want. Long story short, Raycast is a cruiseship and pasta is a sailboat.
English

@Musecow I use Raycast.M. But it’s a developer friendly “general” productivity tool. Pasta’s purpose is narrower. Command-first, context-aware, parametrized, terminal/ops oriented no-cloud 100% opensource app. I made it to have everything i need (while working) a few keystrokes away
English

My take of what a clipboard manager for dev/ops should be, I made it a few months ago, been using it religiously. I needed to readjust and force myself to remember I had a smart clipboard, once I got the hang of it, magic. Check it out

@liyumkw You can try Alfarag, they're a bit pricey. If you don't mind used watches, there are sellers on telegram and jiji

@YafetGetch Couldn’t find a place that sells genuine casio watches here tho, any recommendations?

@alemayehuGeda @solassefa I see. I’ll revisit the numbers. I was referring to NBE dramatically reducing financing. But I may have gotten the figures and timeline wrong. I’ll add a correction, thank you

Scheemed it. Great narrative, but your data is wrong. For instance if you see the money supply in the last 4 or 5 years , it has more than doubled (from about Birr 900B or 1T to 2.4T, I guess - way at higher rate than EPRDF1), yet you are saying " Today, with the NBE strictly controlling the money supply, inflation has plummeted into the single digits, officially hitting 9.4% in March 20". To make it nice you need to back up all your points like this one by data. Take official govt figures such as growth, inflation etc critically too - triangulate them if you can.

@solassefa @alemayehuGeda Since there was no way to fit this into a single thread, here is a long-winded, and probably flawed, explanation of how I understand our economy right now.

@YafetGetch @alemayehuGeda Key term is "pentaple". Everyone saw some gains, however, just catching up meant 5x your net worth from a few years back. I would come out and say unless manufacturing and agriculture saw some increase, much in the urban setting did not see such wealth multiplication.

@solassefa @alemayehuGeda imo the spending went to a relatively narrow group (large contractors, SOEs, urban elites) broader population saw higher prices without proportional income gains and cash didn’t “disappear” it was printed to fund the state, leaked abroad via imports, and was eroded by inflation
English

@alemayehuGeda Prof, I have one question for you. The devaluation has made the currency worth less than 1/5th of its value from 8 or 9 years ago. However, many in the economy didn't pentaple their net worth. That includes people with capital and assets and ofcourse the salary class. (1/2)
