This is incredible. Something is going on in the UK. The Home Office just changed its policy of arresting people for speech crimes, and not only that, it is directly addressing the grooming gang scandal in regards to ethnicity, religion, and cultural backgrounds. Genuine question: If European settlers did not come to South Africa, would indigenous folk have eventually started mining aggressively & selling their commodities at fair international rates? Would South Africa be more developed than it is & would there be more income equality? Or would most natives still be living in huts, farming, hunting & very far off from mining or developing infrastructure at global levels? Are Black South Africans lying to themselves about life being better before Colonialists? If not lying to themselves, what's stopping them from moving to tribal land, building houses & farming livestock and crops? Were the British & Dutch settlers the best thing to happen to Black people, and especially Black women? These are genuine questions. I find myself grateful that I don't live a rural subsistence life, and I'm not sure if I'm just indoctrinated into Western living or if it's actually way better. Pen.
