Please Read. I’m working on a follow up to my report with the Lenny Henry Centre For Media Diversity on diversity in post production sound and looking to interview people, especially men, from underrepresented groups at any stage of their career working in UK ONLY post production sound across any genre. Roles such as Re-Recording/ Dubbing mixer, Sound Effects Editors, Dialogue editors etc. This aspect of the research is to explore the barriers people from diverse backgrounds experience within the UK TV industry. A principle of anonymity will be applied. Your identity will not be revealed. Question for TV industry twitter. Are there any UK based drama picture editors who are men from under represented backgrounds? Please note this is not for a job, i just don’t know of any and wonder if it’s another area diversity is lacking #diversityandinclusion

Pay your freelancers on time. That’s it, that’s the tweet. Not on day 30, not on day 35. Within the 30 day period and promptly as possible.With the industry in such a state,the least companies can do is not add stress by delaying payment. Far too many stories about this happening

@wheatlby Yes, I had a couple of those. With a few paragraphs about how well they thought they'd responded during other wars, but not this one. Then out of the blue, I got a letter saying they now plan to do the right thing. (Not in those words, obvs!)
