This reminds me of after Helene’s landfall when a conga line of chasers cleared the downed trees on I-10 with chainsaws. Every mile or so we’d have to stop and cut/clear another one till the down trees stopped far enough from the damage path. It literally opened up the interstate between north of Perry and Tallahassee. I was also with another chaser I’d picked up whose car was crashed out in a ditch on the way to the interstate. It was a crazy experience.

It’s ridiculous how much crap the SPC and NWS get from fellow weather enthusiasts on here. Everyone thinks they know better than the pros. Yeah, they’re human and mess up sometimes, but don’t we all. Give it a rest and be better than that.

I will not tolerate disparaging remarks about individual forecasters, questioning competence, or anything the like. We deal with a mountain of crap from unqualified and outright hostile people daily. Forecasts are imperfect because the data is imperfect. Show some respect.

I feel like there’s a lot of discourse around this game right now - it seems like there’s a lot of tweets hounding on how bad this game looks. I got to play this game back during a few tests/gameplay sessions so the dev could get footage for his trailer. Not only is the developer such a down to earth person who loves the Titanfall franchise and the movement shooter genre in general, but wanted to create a game that could mimic the wallrun and mech mechanics of Titanfall. He did a pretty good job - I think it’s hard to make a game that mimics the fluidity of both Titanfall games, especially the fluidity of pilot movement in Titanfall 2, and yet he gets pretty damn close to feeling at least 3/4 of the way there… On top of this, he even added a few surprises of his own - one of the maps he had us play on was a 2-level map where if you jumped high enough, the entire world would pivot and the roof would become the floor, and vice versa. You’d literally be fighting people on the ground AND on the roof. It’s not Titanfall 3, it’s not going to have the art direction or story telling of Titanfall 3, but it’s a pretty damn good spiritual successor from an aspiring indie dev who just wants to make something based off the franchise. #Titanfall2 #Titanfall #Shatterrush

Got some very intense hardwood damage East of Vance AFB near Enid. This is where you have to be careful. This DoD might indicate up to EF5 level winds, however noting the type of hardwood is important. These are American Elms, with Janka around 830. There are harder softwoods.

Some of the damage our crews are finding in Enid this morning. At least EF3 damage has been found so far in the SW side of Enid. #okwx
