Since I've gained about 1k followers in the past 2 days, I figure I should properly introduce myself. Howdy! I'm Jackson. I'm an 18 YO storm chaser from the DFW metro. I've been storm chasing for 7 years with help of my parents. I'm also interested in history, geography, cars, video games, and college sports (Hook em'). I'm a cancer survivor and suffer from a PI, so medical issues may be discussed on here. I'm planning on studying meteorology at the University of South Alabama come this fall, and I'm hoping to eventually get a masters degree at OU. My notable achievements are: -Driving in a roundabout for an hour -Listening to a funny Deltarune song -Getting stuck in the mud -Being deemed "Texan final boss" I do everything in honor of the friends who I've lost on the path to be where I am today (JD, NN, DB, GS, HLM, DM, JH, CH). So y'all came here for the funny moments, but y'all should stay for the beauty of nature! Enjoy my stupidity!

BIG NEWS - south Arkansas radar added to our coverage! We now have access to the climavision doppler radar located in southeast Arkansas, specifically in Dermott. This is a massive deal, as southeast Arkansas is in a TERRIBLE radar hole. When we launched the Arkansas Weather Network, our goal was to find ways to bring you the best weather coverage possible. This radar was a big investment for us, but we feel like it will save lives. No longer will we depend on radars hundreds of miles away in Little Rock or Jackson, Mississippi to provide you with accurate real time data. Thank you for trusting us and giving us a platform to pursue these projects and investments. We are just getting started, Arkansas. 💪

I don’t think James is wrong here in not classifying this as anything but scud… but these unique “scudnadoes” that clearly have rotation and a u-component of motion inhabit a special spot in my mind. I consider them to be paratornadic vortices. Mechanisms may have some cursory similarities in formation, but magnitude makes the difference
