Abolish Abortion TN

🚨CALL TO ACTION🚨 Bulso’s bill, HB 0005, has passed in the House, and now the Senate will take up its companion, SB 0419 on 4/9. What is being presented as a step forward is anything but. It does not establish justice, it does not uphold God’s law and it does not protect the unborn. Instead, this bill carves out a pathway for abortion by pills and then offers a legal remedy after the child is already dead. It treats the murder of the unborn as something that can be addressed through lawsuits, rather than something that must be prohibited and punished as the shedding of innocent blood. Scripture is clear on this, God hates the shedding of innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16–17). The magistrate is called to be a terror to evil and to execute justice (Romans 13:3–4), not to create systems that manage or respond to evil after it happens. This bill fails that standard. It does not uphold equal justice and it does not recognize the unborn as neighbors who are to be defended (Proverbs 24:11–12). SB 0419 does not end abortion. It allows it to continue, especially through abortion pills, and then reduces what should be a matter of justice to a civil issue handled after the child is already dead. The shedding of innocent blood is not a private dispute to be settled in court between parties. It is murder, and it demands justice. This bill treats it as something to be managed through lawsuits instead of something to be prohibited and punished. The Senate must decide whether it will uphold God’s standard of justice or continue in partial measures that allow the killing to go on. Below is a statement from @JodyBarrett4TN on why he voted against the useless and compromised House Bill 005… “The same mental gymnastics are used by the left in the gun control debate. They demonize the manufacturer of the instrument used by the criminal while refusing to acknowledge in any way the criminal culpability of the individual who chose to use the instrument to take the life of another. If they could create this same million-dollar civil liability for gun manufacturers and/or distributors, the gun-grabbing left would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, we just took a page out of their playbook. The right to life industrial complex is unwilling to even discuss the criminal culpability of the mother who knowingly, willingly, intentionally, and with malice aforethought, ingests these pharmaceuticals with the sole intent of taking the life of another human being in their womb. Under this legislation, those same individuals who concoct a plan to obtain mifepristone and/or misoprostol to end their baby’s life and execute that plan will now have a million-dollar cause of action against the manufacturer and/or distributor of the FDA-approved, legally produced, legally prescribed, and legally sold pharmaceutical claiming damages for ‘wrongful death’ because the product did exactly what it was designed and manufactured to do, as the woman who ingested the pills intended. The Morgan & Morgan law firms of the world are probably already filming their commercials. Pimps and sex traffickers are about to change their business model. Meanwhile, more innocent babies will be killed with no equal protection or equal justice under the law.”
