Why are “pro-life” groups which oppose prosecuting women for abortion supporting this? This baby was aborted, then born alive, then died. These “pro-life” groups agree that the mom should be prosecuted. But why not prosecute a mom who aborts her baby and the baby simply dies?
Foundation to Abolish Abortion@AbolitionistFAA

🚨 Alexia Moore is facing murder charges in Georgia after allegedly taking abortion pills, resulting in the live birth of her baby. She reportedly told nursing staff, “I know my infant is suffering, because I am the one who did the abortion. I want her to die.” The baby was born alive and survived for about an hour after delivery at the hospital, where Moore had admitted that she took misoprostol, one of the two substances commonly contained in abortion pills. Pro-Life establishment groups often insist that women are second victims of abortion. Georgia law says that the conduct of “any woman with respect to her unborn child” cannot be prosecuted. In other states where women have been charged with murder for taking abortion pills after their babies initially survived, defense attorneys have invoked similar Pro-Life regulations to argue against the murder charges. This case develops after Georgia Republicans refused to consider House Bill 441, which would have established equal protection of the laws for preborn babies in Georgia. Pro-Life establishment groups such as Georgia Life Alliance opposed House Bill 441.

@CanItduh @pooltroof @designmom American chattel slavery was legal until that evil practice was abolished and made illegal for everyone. This is no different, and it will be abolished for the genocide and rights violation against innocent humans that it is, all in Jesus name.

Girls and women don’t “get pregnant.” They are impregnated. By men. Quick reminder: Ovulation is involuntary. Ejaculation is voluntary.

@sbaprolife Is it not discrimination to apply consequences to all 3rd parties involved in abortion but not do the same for the primary individuals seeking them out for their “services”? To pro-life establishment supporters, this is what they don’t want you to know: abortionfree.com

Planned Parenthood is built on discrimination. In recent times, they now admit their founder's "racism and belief in eugenics" -- but have tried to distance themselves, claiming it has nothing to do with their mission today. Whoever the in-group or out-group is at a given moment, the latest news shows very little has changed.
U.S. EEOC@USEEOC

Planned Parenthood of Illinois will pay $500,000 to end EEOC investigation over DEI-related race-based segregation, harassment, and disparate treatment. White employees were subjected to derogatory and race-based harassment during mandatory, segregated DEI trainings on a weekly basis—including messages that they “are white and do not feel racism the same way non-white patients feel" and that “white supremacy is exerted at every level of oppression (individual, interpersonal, organizational, and societal).” In addition, white employees were unlawfully denied paid time off granted to black employees. The @USEEOC is committed to fully utilizing all statutory tools to fulfill the agency’s mission of protecting every American worker from unlawful discrimination.

@sbaprolife @RepRileyMoore Interesting argument. Rather than “both and“, you go with “one first then the other”. Where have I heard that argument before? Oh that’s right! When pro-choicers say that a utopian society is needed first, and then worry about unborn humans. PL & PC always holding hands 🤝🤝🤝

After the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, @RepRileyMoore shared his vision for advancing the pro-life movement in Congress. He emphasized that being pro-life means more than opposing abortion, it means supporting moms and babies who choose life. “Abortion should be illegal, but we need a wrap-around pro-life approach… we as a country, as a government, need to support those who make the right choice.” Rep. Moore brings this commitment to his work every day, fighting to protect unborn children and provide real resources for families. #ProLife #Leadership #ChooseLife #NationalCatholicPrayerBreakfast

@GaLifeAlliance @GaLifeAlliance is this woman a victim of abortion? Will you be brave enough to answer this? Should there have been a law in Georgia that would have deterred this mother from doing what she did rather than legally permitting her actions? Will you be brave enough to answer?

“Ms. Moore is not being charged with crimes under Georgia’s LIFE Act. This innocent baby girl was born alive and under Georgia law, her death is being investigated and prosecuted like any other,” said Georgia Life Alliance’s Executive Director, Elizabeth Edmonds. Efforts to mischaracterize this case as an attack on women or as a consequence of pro-life laws are intentionally misleading and purposefully serve to create further fear and confusion. This is about the death of a child who was born alive and the application of laws that have existed for decades. Georgia law does not criminalize miscarriage or pregnancy outcomes, and this case should not be mischaracterized as such. “What this case highlights is the danger posed by illegal online abortion pill distributors operating outside the medical system,” said Edmonds. “These abortion profiteers prey on women’s fear and desperation, then ship powerful drugs through the mail into states without physician oversight - leading to death and tragedy, with no accountability.” Georgia Life Alliance deeply grieves the loss of this child and remains committed to advancing a culture where both women and their children are supported, valued, and protected under law. #gapol #pressrelease Full press release: us4.campaign-archive.com/?e=1e43b1a818&…

@sbaprolife “"shield" abortionists from accountability” You do realize that all major pro-life groups do this shielding for the primary perpetrators: the mother. All pro-life laws acquit mothers who admit they wanted their child dead (recent case in GA included) abortionfree.com

NEWS FLASH: When you force taxpayers to fund abortions, "shield" abortionists from accountability for breaking laws, and encourage people to stock up on dangerous abortion drugs in their medicine cabinets, you get...more abortions. A tragic, entirely predictable outcome.

@Liesorliars @wsbtv Unfortunately, prosecutors will not be allowed by law to move forward with murder charges. Georgia law explicitly does not permit them to, so clearly they are being overzealous here. The only possible charge that will stick is for oxycodone.

For those who do not want to read the article: The 22 to 24 week fetus was delivered alive with a beating heart and survived for about an hour. Alexia Moore, 31, of Kingsland arrived at a Camden County hospital December 30 complaining of abdominal pain. She told staff she had taken misoprostol obtained online to induce an abortion plus oxycodone from a relative. Medical records confirmed the gestational age. The infant struggled to breathe and tested positive for oxycodone though not the abortion drug. The coroner ruled the cause undetermined and did not classify the death as homicide. Moore allegedly told nurses she knew her infant was suffering because she had done the abortion and wanted her to die. She was arrested March 4 and charged with murder plus two counts of illegal drug possession. She remains jailed in Camden County. If prosecutors move forward this would be one of the first times a woman faces murder charges under Georgia's 2019 law recognizing a fetal heartbeat as personhood. District Attorney Keith Higgins must obtain a grand jury indictment to pursue the murder count.

Evidence that people assume pro-life laws, even if abortion is regulated in the state (6-weeks), protect the child equally and apply justice if the mother commits the abortion. However, that is not the case in any state.
SIN JONES@CultistCorasahn

@wsbtv She knew the Law, took the drug anyway then went to the hospital to have the induced miscarriage. The hospital reported it because it’s the Law. 6 wks+ fetal heartbeat. She even admitted her intent was to kill it.
