@DreadCentral Why would you direct a movie, and know full well you're going to be hated for it before it even releases?

@curtdoolittle It's always hard to see such big movements like that, which you almost never have direct control over. It invokes a primal fear in me at least, my only respite being the knowledge that I know enough to fight back in whatever way I can. Better to go down swinging, after all.

WHEN I KNEW ENGLAND WAS "DONE" I don't remember the exact year, but I remember where I was, and how it felt: like I had lost a loved one to a tragedy. For much of my life I wanted to live in the UK. I loved the people and the culture and especially the history and landscape. My wife went to university there. Had friends there. We were married there. We frequently travelled there. I had a business there - just west of London. I can picture it clearly. We had been travelling the country by car - a small red hatchback. We did the the usual bed-and-breakfast and sightseeing. But mostly just engaging with the locals. Near the end we had spent the usual time in London. We were in Heathrow. I was looking at the people, I looked up at the signage above the shops there. I heard news on the monitors, and saw something about in the change of the value of the pound. The economist in me shuddered. And I saw the pattern. I saw the future play out in an instant. And it hit me so hard and so deeply that it sucked the life out of me for weeks. The window of opportunity was lost. My dream of living here amidst the culture I loved vanished. Poverty was the UK future. Immigration had destroyed london - and with it London as the proxy capital of Europe. The people, outside of the very educated classes, were hopelessly addicted to state support, minimum work, minimum effort, and maximum extraction. They wore injuries covered by health care as a badge. They moralized but took no responsibility for it. The country I wanted to live in - what I consider my people's homeland, was dying. And that vision of the future, in that instant, has played out even worse than I'd imagined. So I have cautious hope for Rupert Lowe and Restore Britain. I'm at the age where I can see the end of the road in the distance. And I would prefer to live the last miles of it among my ancestors, and what remains of the history and culture I grew up in love with. Cheers CD

@_Akhaten @BereIKAberezIKA Sentimentalist, pseudo-intellectual bullshit. You think war's ever been cool or honorable? I'd like to see your guts strewn over a battlefield during the era of pikes and sabres. If there ever was anything worthwhile dying for, it's defending your fatherland. Whatever it takes.

@owenbroadcast Nothing wrong with starting from a particular identity or group. Everyone has to start somewhere. This is another men among the ruins moment.

the desire to not be easily categorized is a huge aspect of the general flattening of personalities we see now. people used to unironically get a "starter pack" for a personality, then build from there. now, doing that is "cringe" - so they start from nowhere. way more difficult

My entire approach to all metaphysical beliefs systems can be summarized by two principles: presence before projection, and truth before face, regardless of cost These 2 principles alone kill most golden calves. It also very strongly aligns with the actual function of faith imo

@kenshirotism Probably not even a second thought to a glorified thug like him. He'll just rob some more people, hollow out some more families and communities and innocent lives. He's psychopathic. It's obvious.

@BereIKAberezIKA I hope one day men will be able to go to war by necessity, and be able to put their lives on the line for something they can truly say with all their hearts, that they'd willingly die for. Wars like this, are just big sacrificial altars. There's no honor here. No winner even.

@BereIKAberezIKA I think a lot of people would consider war the point of no return, being forced into one seems unthinkable, yet here it very much is Life, even down to the point of war and the struggle between men, has been cheapened and hollowed out. No longer a thing of honor, unfortunate.

One of these exploded, right over our heads, in the vicinity of HQ Support Battalion on Camp Pen one fine summer weekend day when we were all outside grilling and drinking beer. Needless to say, but a second later you could tell those of us who had deployed and who hadn't.

Trump claims it's regime change because he's biologically incapable of going 5 minutes without claiming a monumental accomplishment. And, of course, once he redefines "regime change" it will make it easier to declare victory and go home whenever, whatever the case on the ground.
Laura Rozen@lrozen

Trump claims it is regime change because he had not heard the names of the people before. “These are different people than anyone has ever heard of before, and frankly they've been more reasonable. So, we've had total regime change beyond what anyone thought possible.,” he tells CBS.

@disclosetv Is it really necessary to create the entire body, or would it suffice to go organ by organ? At what point does this become pointless and inefficient?
