Nobody knows exactly what Jesus looked like, and it doesn't even matter. He was most likely indistinguishable from every other Jew at the time. The Bible says that He was humble in appearance (Isaiah 53:2).
What matters is that every word He said was true.

Classic/Historic Arminian, Roger Olson, rightly understood that many forms of modern Arminianism fall into Pelagian and semi-Pelagian categories, and these are seen as heretical views.
"Synergism is any theological belief in free human participation in salvation. Its heretical forms in Christian theology are Pelagian and semi-Pelagianism. The former denies original sin and elevates natural and moral human ability to live spiritually fulfilled lives. The latter embraces a modified version of original sin but believes that humans have the ability, even in their natural fallen state, to imitate salvation by exercising a good will toward God. When conservative theologians declare that synergism is a heresy, they are usually referring to these two Pelagian forms of synergism. Classical Arminians agree... Contrary to confused critics, classical Arminianism is neither Pelagian nor semi-Pelagian! But it is synergistic. Arminianism is evangelical synergism as opposed to the heretical, humanistic synergism... I am referring to evangelical synergism, which affirms the provenience of grace to every human exercise of good will toward God, including simply nonresistance to the saving work of Christ."

Ah, yes, what I like to call the “Moses fallacy,” more formally known as the fallacy of equivocation. So, “Reves,” where’s the actual A-game material?
The Unitarian line runs like this: “Sure, Jesus is called ‘God,’ but ‘Elohim’ (God) is also applied to Moses and human judges in the Old Testament. So what’s the big deal?”
The problem? Those uses aren’t equivalent - not in sense, not in context, not in implication. Equivocating on the term is the whole sleight of hand here.
Let me clarify it for you: The New Testament never describes Moses (or anyone else) as the one “ by whom all things were created” (ἐν αὐτῷ ἐκτίσθη τὰ πάντα, Col 1:16), or as the one in whom “the fullness of deity dwells bodily” (τὸ πλήρωμα τῆς θεότητος σωματικῶς, Col 2:9). Not once.
John never claims Isaiah saw Moses in the temple vision of YHWH’s glory (Isa 6; John 12:41). That’s absent.
The writer to the Hebrews never calls Moses “the exact imprint of [God’s] nature” (χαρακτὴρ τῆς ὑποστάσεως αὐτοῦ, Heb 1:3). Nowhere to be found.
John never records Moses receiving - from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation - the identical doxology and latreutic worship given to the Father and the Lamb (Rev 5:9–13). It simply isn’t there.
No crowd ever falls before Moses crying, “My Lord and my God!” (Ὁ κύριός μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου, John 20:28) - not Aaron, not Miriam, not Israel, not even Pharaoh. Hebrew or the LXX - the scene doesn’t exist.
Moses never declares before handing the reigns to Joshua, “Before Abraham was, I Am” (πρὶν Ἀβραὰμ γενέσθαι ἐγὼ εἰμί, John 8:58), nor does he later affirm, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come” (Rev 1:8; cf. 22:13).
The point is straightforward: the sense in which Scripture calls Jesus “God” bears no resemblance to the way it applies “Elohim” (or equivalent language) to Moses, judges, or idols. The categories aren’t even in the same universe.
This is entry-level stuff—amateur hour, waiting at the door hoping a novice takes the bait. Bring something stronger next time.

Appealing to the “Moses fallacy” again. Yawn. We’ve been through this before, Elohim is used of men and angels, whereas YHWH is used only of the one true God. UCA (and you) commits the fallacy of equivocation: unlike Jesus, Moses is NOT identified as Yahweh (“See, I make you as “Yahweh” to Pharaoh - NOT). Do you have something new to offer? Where’s the A material?

@corymiller316 @EddyEkofo Because Peter's context was Joel 2 about the children exhibiting the promised Holy Spirit through signs. See Acts 2:17 citing sons and daughters from Joel.
The promise is regeneration by the spirit, not passed along through carnal generation.

You’re absolutely right. While impressive, how you score matters. Bam attempted 2x as many free-throws, 2x as many 3-pointers to hit the same amount, which tells me he’s getting hyper-fed the rock. If a running back hit 300 yards in a game on 60 carries (Adrian Peterson has 295 on 30), of course there would be an undeniable asterisk. It’s still good 5yds per carry, but it wouldn’t detract from Petersons efficiency. Gross stats never tell the whole picture. If they did, people like Bronsexuals would have an open and shut case for the GOAT, success wouldn’t be measured in championships or wins, but in arbitrary stats divorced from the totality of the games and seasons. No sport measures success by an isolated stat.

@Soteriology101 defends the blameworthiness of the sinner by begging the question about what is necessary for blameworthiness to obtain.
How does he beg the question you say? By assuming LFW is necessary for blameworthiness to obtain. The only thing backing that though, is intuitions and some very shaky theological and philosophical defenses. He has nothing whatsoever that is tangible or practical to support the assertion. It truly takes more faith to assert LFW as necessary for blameworthiness than it does to believe in Jesus.
Let that sink in.

Gabe is missing the point. We are defending the blameworthiness of the sinner and the goodness of God’s character by appealing to the biblical teaching on human responsibility (ie “free will”) By suggesting sinners are just doing what they were made to do by their Creator undermines their culpability and their responsibility by shifting it to God. All Calvinists can do is appeal to mystery as to how man remains culpable and God remains innocent which is not a mystery the Bible affords. It’s a mystery created by a false claim created by a former Gnostic in the 5th century.

When I hear James Talarico in numerous interviews say that the the Right cynically manufactured a plan in the 70s to capture Christians by seizing on the issue of abortion, he doesn't sound any different to me than this.
Yet how many of our mainstream evangelical leaders who are slamming Talarico objected to Chandler's teaching that is immediately shown to be ridiculous when you remember when Roe was enacted?
