My Mother taught my sisters and me to garden, to gather wild blueberries, and to can. I didn't like it because it was so damn boring.
I preferred fishing, which bored my sisters.
Looking back, I think there may have been intrinsic biological differences that support a predisposition in boys & girls towards different preferences.
Or maybe it was just me.
I love eating wild blueberries. I just don't want to gather them. I'd rather trade fish for them.

I love the natural tendency of women to grow herbs and vegetables. My wife has been planning our garden all winter and has already started growing the first seedlings. Having a small herb bed is like having a small, tasty apothecary at your disposal.
