@anon_opin They do if you don’t want flavours/scents of one tea to transfer to the tea next to it. What’s really unnecessary imo is each bag having a string and tag: the tea just soaks up the string which then drips down the side of the cup. I just snip them off.

Tea bags, even fancy fruit teas, don't need to be individually wrapped.

Christmas as a childless adult is a bit naff: having to spend time with family you don't like, mediocre presents because you can just buy what you want throughout the year, forced fun at work parties and a meal you have every Sunday, but with worse meat.

@_Rubbercar @anon_opin I know I'm being pedantic, but there were goths in Glasgow. Still are. Not sure if they wore the same boots. Independent record stores aren't unique to London. Love Music in Glasgow,and the record market in Paisley have been there for years

One thing I miss about the pre-Amazon shopping is that, before a business trip to London, I'd ask family members if there was anything they wanted me to buy there, because there were some things you could only buy in the capital. Sounds mad now.

@DaibhidhP65 @anon_opin 25 years ago as a teenage goth it was hard to buy New Rock boots, because there was only really mail order so you couldn’t try them on, and sending them back was a faff. A trip to Camden to try them on in the shops was like a rite of passage 😄
