Reason did a 3d printed gun piece. Pretty decent overview if you don’t know anything about the topic. Plus, lots of people you’ll recognize. Also, lots of dragging Cody pretty hard.

@3D2AWizard Yep, thanks! The mac 9 has a cavity running down the rail so i put a little spine on the comp but ill remove it before i send ya one - the comp uses a metal liner by the way, im using a printed jig for it so youll just need a drill and dremel

Couple more tweaks but the mac9 ds version is ready to go - it wouldn't take much to adapt this to any bull barrel 5" 1911/2011 though! Anyone have one and want to beta test?

@pembie000ind And a general rule of thumb is to never have the tool hang out more than it has to, this keeps it rigid and lets ya take more aggressive cuts. i know its scary getting the toolholder close to shit 😅 your feeds and speeds sound good though!

@pembie000ind Ooh ok, number 1 would be to rig up some sort of coolant /air - Im sure theres plug and play kits for your machine, but you could go as simple as air only or they make thick coolant meant to be lathered on the workpiece.
