Duraimurugan is then seen explaining that there was a huge crowd and that he feared the risk of infection. The context was entirely different from the narrative being circulated. This is how disinformation works in the age of instant communication. A selectively edited clip or a misleading interpretation can travel faster than the truth. Once a narrative takes hold, few people bother to verify the facts or seek the full context.
