Israel is murdering @ProjectMuhmmed volunteers on the basis of their daily deliverance of food, water, warmth and comfort to Gaza. I have few words that haven’t been said a million times over. They intend to exhaust you. Are you going to let them? chuffed.org/project/171225…

The tanks are advancing, and the heavy gunfire does not stop… Fear fills every corner of central Khan Younis, and hearts tremble from the horror of what is happening. We are living through indescribable moments, between terror and uncertainty… Please, keep us in your prayers.😭😭🙏🙏

The New York Times report on the rescued US airman falsely implies local Iranians aided him. I asked Julian Barnes, co-author of the report, what the evidence was for this. His Response: 'Oh, Iranians didn't assist the airman. This was speculation "from our Iran experts." (The article never clarifies that this was pure speculation, without any evidence; it has not been edited to indicate that in Barnes's own assessment the airman was not assisted by local Iranians; and it is being used to manufacture consent for this war, based on the conspiracy theory that 'Iranians want this.' Do better, @nytimes. Very disappointing.)

It's no wonder the West hates Iran & has been vilifying it while telling BIPOC that if it weren't for "yt civilization" we'd be living in mud huts. LOOK at this glorious food, culture, architecture, history, & nature. Western propaganda is loud but evidence against it is louder.

Baseball wedge issue. Is the fence there to mark where a ‘home run’ is, and the point of baseball is to cultivate/generate ‘home runs’ as much as possible? Or is the fence a necessary-evil because an infinite spatial quadrant (the platonic form of a baseball field) can’t be built in practice? And the point of baseball is for the batter to hit ‘em where they ain’t? And if a fielder *can* get there (fence or not) then the batter didn’t do that? A: It’s the latter.
Nate Schwartz@_nateschwartz

I will die on the hill if you end up on the other side of the wall with the ball, that should be a HR. you didn’t prevent the ball from clearing the fence

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.

"Why aren't we using a neutron bomb (in Iran)? It's a type of atomic bomb that doesn't damage buildings, it kills all the people in a limited way everywhere" March 29: Channel 14's Shimon Riklin, during a panel that includes Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, discusses dropping a neutron bomb on Iran. Another CH14 correspondent, Dror Balazada, hints that unconventional weapons may already have been used. The entire vibe is very cheerful yet also really awkward. Translation: @bernstein_ariel

"I think there are only two ways to (achieve total victory in Iran). One way, which seems less realistic to me... is an invading army, Normandy-style invasion, or non-conventional weapons" Tal Ornan, formerly of Intelligence Unit 504, calls to nuke Iran, two nights ago on CH14

PSL and all the other orgs organized a massive international delegation delivering 50+ tons of aid while DSA barely managed to put out a post about the whole thing. People are out of touch with how incompetent DSA can be and how much it lacks in some areas compared to other orgs.
Kate Willett@katewillett

PSL, with the People’s Forum, has raised almost $400k for solar panels for Cuba. There’s a lot of good that can be done outside of running for office and we should appreciate that they are doing it.

@MarioNawfal @Bob_Joober Iran’s victory only comes when US-Israel is sufficiently deterred from ever repeating… otherwise this all happens again with restocked armories. How to sufficiently deter these particularly rabid dogs? Maybe wait for midterms? Hope Israel implodes in its fascist rage? Dunno tbh.

🚨BREAKING: A 3 year old Palestinian child, Malik Abu Luli, was shot and wounded by Israeli army gunfire in Gaza. He is one of many civilians injured under what is being described as a “ceasefire,” as Israeli fire continues and families across Gaza remain under threat.

@nourician @BlueMangoOG @Ninjeg0 Hence the ineffectiveness.. sure you can say the enemy doesn’t play fair but a successful movement must understand how to defeat the enemy on whatever grounds present themselves in those plastic moments. Burning buildings a good symbol, but with no substance it remains spectacle

This is romanticism. The 2020 riots were not particularly class conscious. They capped off the entire 2010s trend of leaderless, organization-less, and essentially apolitical social unrest that blew off steam but achieved (and even demanded) nothing substantial.

This is wonderful. My dear friend Amb Col Ann Wright devastates the stupid right wing talking points of Australian Sky News. I last saw Ann in Caracas a few weeks ago. Not many people realise she is a major organiser of the peace boat convoys to Gaza.
𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐦@Malcolm_Pal9

Sky News Australia host gets completely dismantled in a surreal interview. They accidentally bring on the wrong guest an anti war academic and it backfires instantly. Former U.S. Army Colonel and State Department official Anne Wright flips the script and absolutely roasts the host on air.

@_hoolio @peterrhague You’re framing this as either-or when really it’s both-and–we’ll settle space and improve life on Earth in the process, through the incentives that living offworld provides.

I keep hearing people tell me how expensive space is. How its such a frivolous waste. Its utter nonsense. SLS/Orion is basically the most expensive rocket currently flying, and even using that as a yardstick, the UK government throws money away at a far larger scale. Just look
