Started working on the client for this a few days ago, aiming for something *like* xfire. Heavily skinnable. Now I'm however-many-days-deep in the question of "can I solve responsive image-based UI programmatically in real time". The answer is definitely yes and this has been really fun.

I think AI is an interesting technology with so much potential to do good. But I don't think that the way we've gone about it up to this point is anywhere near good. It has, so far, almost definitely been a net negative. But what really gets me is the people who genuinely believe that IP laws should be ignored in the context of training datasets, because when the model generates output, you can draw parallels to how a human generates output. But everything leading up to that point, that is and has always been unacceptable in Western society. This suddenly changed? Why? Because China very scary we need to beat China? Aaron Swartz had his life ruined for doing exactly what these frontier labs are doing now, only he did it at 0.0000000001% of the scale.

With the conclusion of Faceit SA Masters I have officially gathered another stones of the regions. Will not be competing in Stage 1 of 2026 and just focus on Collegiate and school. Might play Stage 2 as soon as I get back home to Germany.

@Carter_OW I would highly suggest Enshrouded at some point if you haven’t already and like the survival/rpg/building aspect of single player games. Probably one of my favorite if not my favorite game out there

Expedition 33 is fun. Maybe single player games are fun when you're old.

@_itsgromit @budapp It is viable. You can easily get mvps from it, and sometimes more. The drop in quality is from people who likely shouldn’t be developing software starting to develop software. They don’t know what they don’t know and they are finding that out in production environments.

. @Hylis1 do you think that the tm dev team would ever give plugin devs like me the ability to rewrite the netcode for custom servers to better allow over hundreds of players with smooth visual feedback? Or is this something that just isn’t going to be possible
