"To read her work is to witness the entire American poetic tradition distilled and reconfigured in the hands of a devotee, moved by a never-quite-explicable love." @cementeriocc on Susan Howe
Federico Perelmuter@cementeriocc
For @PoetryFound, I wrote about my beloved Susan Howe and how her writing and her voice have shaped my own private and public image of America and my invented English voice. Link below!

Before I cancel my subscription to the Post, which I took out to read Becca Rothfeld's column, I was lucky to write once for John Williams on one of our heroes, Lewis Lapham. washingtonpost.com/books/2024/07/…

“What remains? the book’s title asks. After emigration, history, death, exile, and transformation, what remains is life." A luminous, beautifully written review of What Remains by @_michaelbarron for @LAReviewofBooks lareviewofbooks.org/article/what-r…

For @LAReviewofBooks, I reviewed the Galician writer @BraisLamela's What Remains, a journalistic novel that considers emigration, Franco-era history, and the slipperiness between fiction and nonfiction: lareviewofbooks.org/article/what-r…
