The @aave team partnered with Sherlock across the V4 upgrade through three major phases: a multi-phase collaborative audit with Blackthorn, a $365K audit contest, and a bug bounty to protect live code after launch. For one of the biggest architectural shifts in Aave’s history, the margin for missed issues was basically zero. Sherlock was brought in to go deeper on the parts of V4 that were entirely new, especially the Hub-and-Spoke architecture + risk premium system.

On our latest episode of "The Vault" @alphaleaked, from @aave, framed how borrowing against native BTC through TBVs will be like taking out a loan against a bar of gold that is still sitting in your own safe. Here's the flow on the current design: --> the user sets up the vault, -->  deposits BTC to the vault address on Bitcoin, -->  waits for finality, -->  then uses the resulting vault-linked collateral to borrow on Aave. Very different from the usual bridge-first, wrap-first, trust redemption later flow as seen on wrapped versions.

Personally can't wait for this DAS panel. Credit is being built onchain in real time. Excited for the goats @StaniKulechov , @gdog97_ and @tn_pendle to break it down live.
