440 bales of hay and high concentrate livestock feed distribution in Elwak North Ward, Mandera South Constituency. We have also facilitated the transportation of 620 bales to Shimbir Fatuma Ward and 540 bales to Wargadud Ward. Thanks to the Government Dept of Special Programmes.

Our efforts towards saving lives and livelihood of our people has gone a notch higher. Thanks to the Government, @gk_ruku @_IsmailMaalim livestock feeds and hay have started flowing into Mandera South Constituency. Both Kotulo & Elwak Subcounties have received in total 8 trucks of animal feed including bales of hay and bags of high concentrate energy pellets. The multi-pronged approach adopted, which includes immediate emergency interventions and long-term sustainable strategies will save our livestock from the devastating impacts of drought. Other ongoing interventions in my constituency include cash transfer to poor families( over kes 304 million already disbursed since January 2026), high school and college bursaries, supplementary food for vulnerable families, water management, and disease control for both humans and livestock.

Hon. @abduhar moves that the Teachers Service Commission (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 27 of 2024) be read a second time. The Bill seeks to amend the Teachers Service Commission No. 20 of 2012 in order to provide for various allowances that the Commission may pay to teachers over and above their basic pay. The Bill further seeks to entrench fairness in acting positions under the TSC so that the Commission confers acting appointments in a structured manner. Well said MR. President. The continued closure of the Northeastern border with Somalia is a manifestation of historical marginalization!

Since yesterday, the distribution of Ramadan relief aid to residents of the five wards in Mandera South Constituency — Elwak North, Elwak South, Shimbir Fatuma, Wargadud and Kotulo — has proceeded smoothly and in an orderly manner. I sincerely thank the staff and volunteers of the Ali Roba Foundation for their excellent work, and I am grateful to the foundation, our supporters and all well-wishers whose generosity made relief for 2,000 households possible. We have always stood with our people in every circumstance and will continue to do so whenever they need us. While we pray for rains, we are also making arrangements to distribute livestock feed pellets to protect the animals that sustain our community’s livelihoods. @aliiroba @_IsmailMaalim @gk_ruku @StateHouseKenya

Mandera Nyota startup capital disbursement Joined His Excellency President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and a host of both national and County Government leaders for the Nyota startup capital disbursement event in Mandera Town today. Key outcomes and measures: • Total disbursed: Ksh 63,000,000 to 2,520 beneficiaries (30 wards). • Direct support per beneficiary: Ksh 22,000 (startup capital) + Ksh 3,000 saved (NSSF Haba na Haba). • Capacity building: RPL and OJE components for skills development. • Complementary support: license fee waivers, cooperative registration, and further training to sustain and scale youth-led enterprises.

Today in Takaba town we met with stakeholders from all five wards of Mandera West Constituency to discuss the Ramadhan Iftar programme sponsored by the Roba Foundation in partnership with our elected Members of Parliament. It was encouraging to see strong community participation as we plan to support families and bring our communities together during this blessed month.
