You do not know what you are talking about. Nnamani gave a full speech before posing the question for vote for second reading. The speech was titled “We Will Uphold Legislative Due Process”. In fact, Professor Charles Okigbo of North Dakota University, sent the speech to Ken Nnamani with a note that he found that very speech as a prescribed reading for communication students in his University as “an example of a perfect political speech”. Before the date of the vote, I recall writing a note to Nnamani to hold strong when the pressure was too much and he wrote back to me on the note: “I will not succumb even under gunpoint”. Of course, Tinubu as a Governor of opposition party would naturally be opposed to Third Term and encouraged his people to oppose it. But, then he wasn’t a powerful political person he is now.
