Elections are a curse to Nigeria. Especially their 4-year form. None of these people laid any legacy of leadership that the current President laid with his policies and reform presidency. None of them has human capital that can be a point of reference like we see with many parts of the southwest. Leadership is not just about opposing; it is about building today what can be referenced tomorrow. Name any reference points in any of their past leadership posts. Do so with no insult or abuse. x.com/channelstv/sta… x.com/channelstv/sta…

Nigeria is not 65 years old in 2025 as a political entity. The country was formally amalgamated in 1914, making it over a century old. However, Nigeria gained independence in 1960, so as an independent nation, it is 65 years old in 2025. So, Nigeria is 111 years old. Ihotago! It is working… x.com/FotoNugget/sta…

If your religion does not trace its history to your forefathers, then you are either a slave to religion, or a slave to the origin of that religion you practise. As an African proverb echoes: “Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter.” Here is one of the reasons I believe in whom I believe. Not because He is from any geographical location, but because He represents “the Lamb that was slain for all creation, from before the foundation of the world.” Hebrews 1:1–4 1.In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2.but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe. 3.The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. My ancestors are not demons. The true and living God spoke to and through them, and I believe He still speaks. Though now, He speaks to us through His Son, revealed as the Word, what my ancestors understood as Ela. If a man’s idea of God is completely disconnected from his identity, his language, and his reality, then perhaps he must ask deeper questions about what he has been taught. God has no language. He speaks beyond language, in sound, in essence. Human beings created language as co-creators with Him, to interpret what is divine. Happy Sunday. It is working…

We love abroad, but a lot of the session was broadcast, thanks to AIT and Channels for having a station on Sky Digital. “In his memoir Mr. Speaker: The Legislative Life, Service and Resilience of Femi Gbajabiamila (and in interviews), he detailed how the fight nearly cost him his life and political career: he faced a physical attack on the House floor (almost strangled by a pro-third-term colleague, Independence Ogunewe, in 2006), death threats, and later a fierce campaign in his constituency to block his re-election specifically because of his stance.” We all know that OBJ’s beef with Tinubu is not only based on Baba’s natural attitude of not wanting another person to be greater than him, but it has been since the emergence of the brilliant Bola from the early 90s. But the icing on the cake was the third-term issue. I lived and worked with a prominent member of NADECO, Professor Ropo Sekoni, in whose wife’s shop in Delaware the name NADECO was coined. Since the late nineties till today, I follow anything Tinubu-OBJ, because I know what I know from direct daily engagement, press write-ups, and me being sent to Nigeria with messages, from the late 90s. No one can rewrite history.

@abrahamgreat @Letter_to_Jack Thank you for this. Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila played key role in rallying opposition to the bill too… I never forgot that. This lying Sam only limited the scope of his misinformation to the Senate.

Sam, you are a pathetic liar and Professor of Falsehood. Your claim to intelligence has been undermined by your sudden volte-face and hypocritical change of stance. Pls, juxtapose your earlier claim in your first response with the new claim under this quote and you will see a shift from “Tinubu played zero role to end third term” to “of course, as a Governor of the opposition party, Tinubu would naturally be opposed to the third term and encouraged his people to do so.” In less than 15 hours, you have approbated and reprobated. How do you sleep with this lack of intellectual honesty? Thousands of ignorant mobsters in your eco-chamber have already gone to town with your half truth on this thread… and now, you are singing a new tune. Having admitted that Tinubu played a role in thwarting Obasanjo’s third term bid, I will suggest you let your senseless mob know, so they can be properly informed. Secondly, you claimed earlier that it was you who wrote the Nnamani speech titled: “We Will Upload Legislative Due Process”. This was in your first response. Now, in this last response, you again claimed one Professor Charles Okigbo of North Dakota University wrote the speech, after you went on the binge of grandstanding about it. Which should we believe in these two opposing statements? 🙄 Meanwhile, you have not answered my question: “Did Senate President Nnamani mention the names of those who fought against Obasanjo’s third term in his speech (the one you claimed you wrote to him) on the floor of the Senate?”
AJE tweet mediaAJE tweet media
Sam Amadi@SamAmadi

You do not know what you are talking about. Nnamani gave a full speech before posing the question for vote for second reading. The speech was titled “We Will Uphold Legislative Due Process”. In fact, Professor Charles Okigbo of North Dakota University, sent the speech to Ken Nnamani with a note that he found that very speech as a prescribed reading for communication students in his University as “an example of a perfect political speech”. His exact words. Before the date of the vote, I recall writing a note to Nnamani to hold strong when the pressure was too much and he wrote back to me on the note: “I will not succumb even under gunpoint”. Of course, Tinubu as a Governor of opposition party would naturally be opposed to Third Term and encouraged his people to oppose it. But, then he wasn’t a powerful political person he is now. He had little political influence in national politics to be a decisive factor or even a serious factor. Third Term was largely defeated by Senator Ken Nnamani, by northern Senators, by Atiku and Buhari who had interest to stop OBJ for personal political interests, and by a sundry southern politicians and activists who played different minor roles.

Diplomacy should not be an excuse to abuse diplomats. Neither is humility a yardstick for abuse. If you have followed the thread over the years, you will realise that the woman has genuinely endured far too many extreme pokes. Public servants are not perfect, nor can they solve every problem. They are from the rest of us. Ethics and values should be reciprocal and, when not imbibed by the masses, what you may get is reciprocity of the attitude served. Today you see the Prime Minister of the UK serve back the President of America in his own tone. You see the President of France reply to Trump with his sort of derision. No particular people or persons have the autonomy of recalcitrance. @abikedabiri is a fine soul trying her best to fulfil her role in observing people. She is a wife, a mother and probably a grandmother. Study the pattern of abuse towards her. You won't want it for yours. If there is anything we learn in church, mosques or family rooms, it should be decency, honour and respect. Hopefully, you reasoned this with the right intent, and did not respond as touted. God bless, have a great week ahead.

She's an accidental public officer who ordinarily shouldn't be anywhere power in a decent society.. She is nothing but a disgusting being who should be ashamed of herself. No woman who claimed to be a mother should ever act and troll others the way she does... Such a disgrace to motherhood.. 😠 😡 She would be long gone from public office if Nigeria was a normal country.. C'mon!

@BlessingGives We had the one chance to had 1-2 new flesh to the team in January. This would have added vitality, the club refused. Semenyo would have added the vibes he is adding now to Man City. The club keep falling short on final decisions. You can't have a window without doing anything.

🚨🎙️ Arsenal legend Ian wrights on Michael Arteta Arsenal side. 🗣️| I don’t think what we just watch this afternoon his called football. It feels so cringed that you start feeling alive only when Bournemouth has the ball.” “It’s so hard for me to think because we were the favorites to win every competition but look at us now it’s obvious we are not ready to lift trophy, during our era teams like Bournemouth use to fear us to even come out of the tunnel. But look at us, we are the one now running into the tunnel during half time to find that goal to bring us back into the game.”

Today, I agree that Arsenal has the worst fans in the league. Walking out on your players and booing the same team that has brought you this far, when there are still games for every team to play, is shameful. Big shame on the fans. Shame on you all. If the players have the legs, they will do it. They only need us now as we are booing them. Shame on those fans who do that. I am sure the AFTV pundits will rant.

@Oyinloyegleek They are trying! This season they set thr best win rate record in club history with just one or two more matches. Liverpool struggled for nearly 30 years to get back the league. Stay positive till the end

So, at the final hurdle, the best thing to do is boo them? I have followed this team since 1993, but this set of supporters since social media is not a good fit. If the players can, they will. They are pushing. There is not guaranteed thst their rivalries will win all matches too. This is a bad omen. I believe this team will win the league this year. Even if it's by one point. And if they don't. We appreciate them. They have this season set the best win rate record in the history of the club. The fans are a disappointment.
