So I built "Figma—Sum" 🎨✨ - A personalised 2025 Figma year in review!
Unfortunately can't ship it publicly due to Figma API restrictions. The particular scope needed to auto-fetch your file metadata [`projects:read`] is only available for private apps.
The workaround is to ask users to manually generate & paste their personal access token. But honestly, that's too long a UX for what should be a ready-to-go, fun, experience like Spotify does. And security too 🫥.
Since I can't ship it, here's mine 😅😅
It's mainly a bunch of calculations and some AI for the generated stories. Also using data from 3 major designer-related surveys that happened this year and last year to form the benchmarks.

Yesterday, @chowdeck crossed 2 million registered users!
It has been a year since I made the tweet mentioning that we crossed a million users. We have come a long way since then.
We have learnt even more over the last year as we more than doubled every part of our network.
Again, I am really grateful to our team, customers, riders and partners for coming on this journey with us.
We are so excited! It's still Day 1! 🚀🚀🚀

Last week, we crossed 1 Million registered users on Chowdeck. In the same week, we successfully crossed N30 Billion worth of deliveries in 2024 alone. In less than 3 years we have grown from 319 users in our first month, to over 1M users a few weeks to our third birthday. To every member of our team that has made this happen, my co-founders and I are effusively grateful for giving us the opportunity to build this with you. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve our over 3K businesses, 10k+ riders and now, 1M users in just 8 Nigerian states. We have learnt a lot in the last few years and we can't wait to unlock the next level of growth! It is still Day 0 and we are excited! You should be too! 🚀🚀🚀

The way fintech grew significantly and successfully in Africa, it’s the same way we need hardware to grow significantly.
We need to pay attention to hardware technology creation in Africa!
Our total liberation and sustainability as a continent significantly relies on our ability to grow hardware technologies at home.
We need foundries, makerspace, fablabs, manufacturing hubs and interconnected hardware supply chains.
