@Aetna Thanks for denying my son the surgery he needs to help him breathe because you think steroids are the answer. You don’t think we’ve gone through all necessary steps & medications before deciding on an incredibly invasive surgery? Thank you for proving insurance is a scam.

@abbythelibb_ @noahforkansas I'll be honest I didn't know insurance paid for ambulances. I can't tell you how many times I had to fight to have them paid. My wife's last ambulance ride was denied they said wasn't medically necessary- she died after that ride never to return home. @Aetna

The replies are loud on this one (and though none of them are genuinely concerned about my son, he's doing just fine). Over 2/3rds of Americans have these same anxieties over health care costs, and half couldn't pay for a $500 unexpected medical bill out of pocket. The problem isn't me saying it out loud. The problem is we've accepted it.

Thanks for yet another denial, @Aetna! You guys really hammer home the fact that member care doesn’t mean anything. After seven months and God knows how many appeals, I think I’m about done fighting it. Just let the disease take its course.
