This takes me back to 3 @DeGodsNFT again after seeing the new update on Points Parlour and a sentiment change 😎

If you're under 10k followers your tweets don't matter. Your replies do
Replying was already the most powerful growth strategy on X. Now the algo is making it even more insane
Every big account started like this, including myself
The strategy is incredibly simple:
Post 1-2 high quality tweets a day, then be the loudest reply guy on Twitter
Get a good response? DM the person to start building a relationship
This is isn't a 'growth hack'. This is networking 101.
If you want to get a bigger audience, you talk to more people
Play chess, not checkers

@davincithreads @waleswoosh I don’t think they are planning to sustain the Points Parlor for that long. At the start of the instruction manual it says it won’t go on forever

@waleswoosh I like it but all depends on whether it is sustainable
Need brands to contribute continuously

Points Parlor TLDR:
1️⃣ All packs cost 400 DePoints (equal to 6.66 hours of staking).
2️⃣ Price doubles every 30 days (adjusting for points inflation).
3️⃣ There are three different types of packs with increasing risk/reward.
4️⃣ Impatient tax: The more packs you open within 24h, the more expensive (prize per pack increases).
5️⃣ Prizes are bound to the respective De-ID.
6️⃣ Big prizes for the first week: Tesla, MacBook Pro, Samsung QLED TV etc.
7️⃣ Majority of prizes seems to be a low amount (0.1 to 0.5) of $DUST.

I've told this story before but it's gotten even better, and the timing is right to tell it again.
This is a story of how I found one of my favorite artists in web3, and our journey from humble beginnings to true friendship.
In mid-late 2021 I was doing something I did frequently at the time: randomly scrolling SuperRare, Foundation, and doing Twitter searches for NFT art related terms.
Basically, trying to find cool art and discover new artists.
That's when I stumbled across @PonderingDraw, a talented artist from Thailand. I was immediately drawn to his work and I loved the way he created entire animated worlds, full of vibrant color.
Fast forward a couple of months and I launch ZenAcademy. One of the first things I did was commission a few pieces of art from some of my favorite artists (asking them to create anything at all they wanted when they thought of "ZenAcademy"), and ofc Pondering was one of the artists I asked.
I was over the moon when he agreed to take on the commission. This image won't do it justice (b/c it's meant to be animated) but it still highlights how incredible an artist he is:
I was over the moon with this. There are 3 editions of it. 2 were raffled off to community members, and 1 sits in the ZA vault.
A few weeks later we run another art-based initiative over the holiday season, "the 12 days of zenmas", where we commissioned art from another 12 artists to airdrop to our community.
The idea was to find artists who had not found much commercial success in NFTs yet and try and put a bit of a spotlight on them (as well as paying them for their work).
Pondering didn't quite fit the bill, so instead we asked if he wanted to be a bonus/surprise 13th artist. His creation has been my Twitter banner for the majority of the last 18 months. Another spectacular piece of work:
It was around the time of this release that he drops a bombshell on me: he doesn't speak English 🙃.
Turns out, he had been using google translate the whole time to converse.
This is my favorite example when it comes to the potential of NFTs for the creator economy, especially for digital artists. We are two people from other sides of the world, speaking different languages, and we managed to connect and work together.
The timeline is flooded with bad takes lately about "what problems do NFTs solve? NOTHING"
How about allowing digital artists to sell their work directly to collectors? Allowing collectors to collect digital art and support artists? Provenance? An unlocking of global talent?
Just because most PFP projects haven't found a way to solve real world problems, doesn't mean all NFTs are bad. NFTs are, after all, a technology and not a product in and of themselves. Anyway, I digress..
Fast forward another 9 months or so and we decided we're gonna release our own PFP. There was only ever one #1 choice for who the artist could be...
but when I asked, he said it was not something he could do 🥲.
BUT he could help create some of the assets in the lead-up to the PFP, so he developed our ZenChests and new 333 Club Membership Cards:
So we started working with some other artists, exploring concepts. We had begun work on a pixel-art collection and were pretty set on releasing that, when I thought I would ask him one last time (it was a couple of months later now).
I'm not sure what changed in those two months, but he was now super happy to hop on board with us and help bring our PFP to life. You can't imagine the joy the team felt when we heard this 💜.
There was even more joy when it turned out I was planning a family vacation to.. Thailand. So, a couple of weeks ago, I finally got to meet someone I now consider a dear friend.
He is such a kind soul, and has been an artist his whole life. He never thought he would be able to make a living from art, until he discovered the NFT space in late 2020/early 2021 and his life changed forever.
His English is pretty damn good now too! (infinitely better than my Thai).
For the better part of the last 7 months, Pondering, alongside @PixlitEth, with the occasional help of two additional artists, have been putting together a PFP for our existing community, and I cannot wait to share it with everyone.
We'll be sharing final previews of the art this week. We have learned from all who came before us, and want to make sure people know what they're going to get ahead of time.
And whatever you ultimately think of the art - please remember that there are humans on the other end of your comments 💜
