Thirty-two year old Aaron Tucker of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was just a week out of jail and had a job interview. So early that morning he grabbed the dress shirt the halfway house had given him and headed off on the bus...
A ways down the road, the bus driver spotted a car that had just hit a tree and flipped over.
Aaron ran out of the bus, knelt down and unbuckled the driver.
He pulled him away from the wreckage and kept telling him, “You're gonna be OK.”
Moments later, the car was covered in flames.
Aaron took off his nice, clean shirt and used it to help stop the driver's head from bleeding.
A few minutes later, firefighters and EMTs arrived.
Aaron missed his job interview that day.
It was highly important to him but something else became even more so.
Says Aaron, "A job can come and go, but a life is a one time thing."
When members of the community heard about his story, they started a GoFundMe page which raised more than $60,000 for him.
He has also had many job offers to choose from since then
@renabaddie_ 50 already present + 1 story teller + 1 killer = 52
Killer takes out 30
20 + 1 story teller are able to escape
killer and 30 dead remain = 31 left
@oelma__ I've never done it nor intended to but for 15 million, just 1 line, I may have to make an exception. Make sure it's just coke. Nothing else that would do more damage or be fatal. I need to be here to do this with that money.
@thejustinwelsh Unfortunately, some don't make these goals by the stated age. I'm one of them, and beyond 40. However, I'm definitely sharing these with my children & everyone else I can. I'm also trying to make this my name by 45.
By age 40, you should:
- Be sleeping 8 hours per night.
- Be eating healthy 6 days a week.
- Understand your "enough" number.
- Be able to make money on your own.
- Put living a great life above everything.
Non-negotiables, IMO.
@chefsevenn Sauté with butter or a little bacon grease, add garlic/onion powder, salt, pepper, and a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire. Finish with a squeeze of lemon or a dash of vinegar
