We're a long way from knowing the results. Every state Trump has won so far is a solidly red state. Every state Harris has won is solidly blue. Nothing on the presidential map has flipped. No swing states are close enough to call.

We will remember Flaco at the peak of his powers, on top of the world—an owl who inspired so many as he went from living in a tiny enclosure to owning the Manhattan skyline in less than a year. 🦉 ❤️

Flaco clutching a pigeon and hooting on one of his favorite water towers on 2.16.24 (the last night I saw him). I will never look at water towers on the UWS the same way again. I am grateful that I had the chance to observe and capture his adventures over the past year.💕🦉

Genuinely grief-stricken. In life, Flaco was an ambassador for birds and for New York City. He was an avatar of freedom and possibility. In death, I hope he will be an ambassador for better building design to prevent bird collisions.
