Hate masquerading as Christianity is still hate.
Hate masquerading as a political position is still hate.
If our theology or our politics stoke hate in our heart towards certain people, we need new theology and politics.

@tracieloux This is so healing for me to see ppl talking about. When I burned out of staff it was bc of this. In the middle of celebrating a “new season” for someone, she looked at me & said, I was fired, I don’t know why, I don’t have anything lined up! 😯 😔

@riper_van1739 @rebekah_benge @coreypstark @toldbyanidiot2 It was a strong rumor and scared me so badly! That was such a terrifying time honestly… I thought she was in the witness protection program for years until she popped up on Instagram as married & then a mother. It freaked me out for years.

@rebekah_benge @coreypstark @toldbyanidiot2 I don’t believe “witness protection” was ever the actual term used but we were all told that she had to leave for her safety because she was a witness. I think many of us came to the conclusion of witness protection, though.

Words cannot express the anger, shock, heartbreak, and sadness we have experienced as we have learned of allegations and testimonies of sexual abuse and manipulation concerning Mike Bickle, founder of IHOPKC.
We believe that Mike Bickle sexually abused and manipulated Jane Doe and Tammy Woods, who was a minor at the time. His predatory and abusive actions are sick and violate the Word of God, the marriage covenant, and holiness; we condemn them in their entirety.
In hindsight, we realize that Mike’s two Friday night messages on October 13th and 20th were manipulative attempts to construct a narrative of innocence concerning himself. We deeply regret allowing him on the platform, and we acknowledge and apologize for the pain and confusion this caused.
Additionally, our staff meeting on October 27th lacked the necessary disclosure and candor to meet the gravity of the situation. For this, we also apologize.
Many in our community have been pained by our communications regarding these allegations. We are sorry we fell short in this area and left you feeling unseen, unheard and unappreciated. We thank you for your patience and perseverance in spite of our shortcomings. As a leadership team, we are committed to do better.
Words are insufficient to communicate the pain and anguish many have born in this and prior seasons as a result of Mike Bickle’s wrongdoings. Our hope and prayer is that victims in our community, and in any community, find solace and healing through the mercy of Christ.

I don’t even know what to say today about #ihopkc (or #sbc et al). Except for this: it shouldn’t be this hard.
Is it too much to ask as a woman (or a child or *anyone*) to want to feel safe? Is it really too much to want to be free from harassment, abuse, assault, and violence?
And when these things do happen, is it then too much to hope that we will be heard, believed, acknowledged, respected, helped, and treated with compassion and concern? Is it really that outrageous that we’d want the assailants or abusers to be held to account and somehow stopped so that no one else is hurt?
We are mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, brothers, sons, co-laborers, and friends… not to mention image bearers and children of God.
Please just try to consider this when someone, anyone at all, comes forward with a testimony of abuse, rape, harassment, and/or domestic violence. #survivors

I’m pondering my story, and it’s crazy looking back that I thought $500/month for 60 hrs of work was okay.
Media, Front of house sound, worship team musician, and meetings for each.

This right here. I don't know how I came across this woman's Youtube channel, then account here but it's such a blessing. I have longed for the prayer closet & secret place for years over a public one. It's so good to honor these longings without guilt finally.

He came because you need HIM. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things." Acts 17:23-25 YOU are the movement (if His Spirit indeed indwells you). YOUR room, all alone, is the prayer room (This is HOW He said to pray Mat 6:6). YOU are the one for whom HE ever intercedes before the Father. 1Jn 2:1 YOU are the needy, the desperate, the lost sinner for whom He left the 99. Can you accept a Gospel in which Jesus saves and you have nothing to offer Him but a broken spirit and contrite heart? If so, you've lost nothing and are about to gain everything. Walk away. You are PRECIOUS to God. His plan is NOT to USE you, but to fill you with abundant life. Not to DECEIVE you, but to wash your mind with the pure water of the Word. Not to CONTROL you, but to free your inner man from slavery to sin so you can serve Him with joy. Not to STARVE you until He'll finally touch, heal or deliver you, but to give Himself as the Bread of Life so you can eat and be full. Dear one, YOU are Precious to God. Not the movement.
