She says it's an impossible situation because we "Camp our entire motion as humans around something that we're hearing on the Internet that is again only from one side" The absolute hypocrisy and irony of this statement is 🤪✅ Next she makes a comparison to the chocolate 💩 pie 🥧 from the movie The Help and the accuser of the brethren from Revelation chapter 12. In the movie the pie serves as a symbol of the extreme power dynamics and the exploitation faced by Black maids working for white employers in the Jim Crow South, representing a moment where Minny defies Hilly's cruelty. Minny was fired by Hilly after being falsely accused of stealing, which led to Minny being blacklisted and unable to find new work. She baked the pie as a "gift" to get back at her. Out of all the 💩pies depicted in film and television you picked this one? Speaking of 💩 🥧what about Ezekiel 4? And you shall eat it as barley cakes; and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight.” Then the Lord said, “So shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.” Ezekiel 4:12-13 Finally, Johnson says that the Internet has unfairly demanded Bethel take responsibility for someone who wasn't even on their staff (Bolz). Even though they continued to promote and endorse him to their Global following she promises they have learned their lesson, just trust us. ✅ Then she immediately dumps on the idea in her very next breathe. 💩✅ My favorite part is when she declares her fidelity to Bethel because of the quality of the leadership there. It's why she sits on the front row every week. Yeah Jenn, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Millions of dollars you've made and continue to make as the President of Bethel Music. 🤔😂👌💩🥧🤪✅ (Which by the way is definitely NOT financially or legally connected to Bethel Church in anyway. ✅ )

@jonochall 💯 When Mikes stuff came out , I started reading about the revivalists like during Asuza Street and was super shocked to see what I found😩 Being an “ordinary” Christian is highly underrated.

I taught a Church History college class for many years. In the introductory class, I talked about both the inspirational and instructive nature of church history, with a hopeful final outcome in learning from it being "faithfulness". However, I recall a student approaching me halfway through one course. He was dejected. He said he had thought the class would be more inspirational, but instead, he was learning the real stories of failure of all those he had thought were his heroes. I did not personally know A W Tozer. He was a great writer for sure and has positively impacted many, probably millions of believers. He also seems to have acted out of the models that were given to him related to what true ministry to Jesus looked like within the context of his age. I think, as we look back at those who have come before, it is our responsibility to assess how those models stack up against the New Testament witness. I do think there is often a conflation of loving God = doing ministry activity and "building a ministry," and that is probably one of the fundamental lessons to learn here. Loving our brother (and our wife and kids) has often been sacrificed on the altar of ministry building. Rather than criticize the widow and children or even AW himself, I would prefer to look inward and see where my own priorities lie.

@GCAccountable From my understanding shepherds protect not harm. Why is the focus not on protecting vulnerable people more? I’m willing to have an open conversation about this and have . But protecting the vulnerable is a hill I am willing to DIE on. /2

@DavidAnder2206 @andrewbullard15 They absolutely are not. I do think when you are in your 20s it’s hard to realize this 🫠 Young people look up to their spiritual leaders especially when spiritual fatherhood language was used so much in our environments

@JenniferVerdery @andrewbullard15 I think part of the problem is that somehow along the way we have put Pastors in the position of being all knowing and unfortunately some of them think they are - rather than wise advocates who refer on when necessary.

@realprophetguy It is absolutely unacceptable in every way to speak about victims in this manner. Incredibly damaging to those who may need to come forward if they ever needed because how could they feel believed ? This needs to change so our churches can begin to be safer.

@andrewbullard15 My concern would also be for teens and young adults as well dealing with mental health issues. It is not safe to declare diagnosis without professionals speaking to that and of course with full consent from the person getting prayer. Again, thanks for your openness /2

@andrewbullard15 Andrew I’m so sorry this happened to you at the ministry we both served in. It’s never ok for anyone let alone a leader to declare something like this over a person. This is an actual diagnosis in the DSM-5 that belongs to professionals not prayer movement pastors. /1

Important question. ACNA processes involve a secret conclave where the bishops alone elect the archbishop. Candidates names aren't announced beforehand, so are bishops doing the equivalent of calling up former employers/coworkers? If so, how?
