The gap between multifamily apartment permits and starts is very big. There are ~hundreds of thousands of apartments that have made it past all permitting hurdles, but are likely facing trouble overcoming financing challenges.

@prashanth_karri It’s not entrapment. If the police went up to a person and said hey, I’ll pay you if you steal some boxes, come on how about it, I think that may be. Leaving a box out isn’t because a law abiding person doesn’t steal boxes just because they see them on a porch.

Maybe they could have tried designing a curly W that’s just a tiny bit less Walgreeney. But there are only so many ways to write a letter anyway.
