Last night @DeliverooEng hosted an Ada Lovelace Day get together for female engineers - we had 11 lightning talks - and 4 of the speakers had never spoken before. And this pic isn't even *all* of the speakers. Thanks for coming everyone - you were all *amazing* 🥰💪🎉

Today I've been super quiet as I've been squirrelled away in a room interviewing candidates for our first software engineering apprenticeship scheme, partnering with @makersacademy. I am SO excited that this is happening. 💪🎉

Good API’s make things easier by providing a layer of abstraction between complex systems and I think it’s a pretty good metaphor for collaboration and communication. Abstract away the crufty bits so the interfaces are clean and interactions are more elegant (and more pleasant).
