@Bezovie_farmers @zackclu The reason I do I have house broding is when I release the birds they are spread all over the barn within minutes
English

@arcpoultry @zackclu We also do half house but we block it off across and do it for 5 days.
English

@Gordonbraun8 Gordon I never have problems with piling my Chicken catching always goes smooth.
English

@arcpoultry I used to pick birds for maple leaf all over saskatchewan from grade 7 thru 12 ! Theres alot of tecnique to ensureing no damaged birds ! Just wondering if u reduce lights to do inspections at this age as well to reduce pileing ?

@arcpoultry With your only 3 waterlines, no supplementary chick founts/drinkers, will your water be sufficcient for the crouded chicks? What are chances of chick dehydration from lack of water and high brooding Temp °C.?

@arcpoultry Hi George. If I may ask. How wide this is barn and how many feed lines do you have? We’re in the process of building a barn and feed line spacing has been on my mind. Thanks Jason
English

@TriaroFarms Good evening Jason this barn is 70 feet wide 300 feet long I am currently running six feed lines they are 4 on 9 and I wouldn’t go any less.

@arcpoultry Is there a second pipe at the bottom of the brooder guard? I like that idea
English

@zackclu Half house brooding I find you can start the birds much better it is easier to clean up less work I have been doing it for over two years and I will never go back to full house brooding again
English

@WillMacArthur3 Yolk sack could be a problem it can linger on up to day 12.
English

@arcpoultry I can never get a good estimation of how the flock will go on day 1. Maybe I need more experience.
English

@WillMacArthur3 I am never worried on day one just make sure birds are spread out nicely lots of water lots of feed Day 4 is my very very important day this is when I start really cleaning up the barn usually Day 7 birds are all cleaned up all culls pulled out of the flock.
English

@JameyFarms No I don’t do that as of yet I am going to hold off for another year and then I wanna transition into spraying for Cocci at the hatchery and leave the birds penned up for a good 10 days.
English

@arcpoultry Do you water your litter at day 5,6 to cycle cocci/vaccines?
English

@MarcTherrien33 I did put the feed lines down right after unloading filled them up and let the feed warm up for a couple hours birds were in the pants immediately.
English

@arcpoultry Why are your feed pans up ? Don’t you want to transition them to feed pans ASAP.
