Big update. Torsten is running as a block producer on the preview testnet. Not long before we're forging the first block ever using an alternative cardano node! preview.cardanoscan.io/pool/6954ec11c… Remember. This is not production ready yet so don't go deploying this just yet!

The current state of CIP-113 is CIP-143 in its entirety, the entire design was created by myself, without any external design input. Others were already working on a programmable tokens at the time, and there was an existing CIP for it (CIP-113), they suggested that I move my design into CIP-113 so that their historic work is respected and I agreed. Hopefully further commentary from CF makes this clear. As it stands now, I feel incredibly slighted, and the years of work that I put into this feel trivialized.

@HephyPool @YoroiWallet SPOs will not be manually responsible for distribution of night. This I can confirm as per the latest developments of the design of this mechanism.

We are still waiting for contract-to-contract calls on midnight. I'm actively building on midnight and I'm honestly a bit shocked we're still talking about mainnet launch in March. I don't think it has been baked long enough if we won't be able to do more than basic wallet stuff at launch. Devs will need time to build and test once the needed features are added.

Many blockchains and third-party services failed when AWS went down. Half of Cardano nodes are mixed cloud-& bare metal. I didn’t notice the downtime. I continued recording tutorials, trading, and minting blocks during the outage. Cardano is decentralized and resilient.

@AdaS_Dream hey, so EXODUS is using a 12 word mnemonic starting with the derivation path 44H/1815H/0H/0/0. Cardano-Signer should be able to help with generating your keys on the command line. We managed to get signings for old 12 word daedalus byron wallets, so EXODUS should be doable too.

Currently 81 pools have registered there calidus keys, number is going up every day. If you're an SPO, you can do it via CN-Tools, the SPO-Scripts, or via discrete CLI-Commands that you can run. More infos here in the forum: forum.cardano.org/t/new-calidus-…
