BTS Hit ‘Swim’ Faces Copyright Lawsuit Claiming it Was Stolen From Demo: ‘Obvious and Inescapable’

English

Because of my anorexia and my ADHD I haven't been able to properly watch tv shows or movies since 2021 which means I haven't been able to watch through all of Run BTS.. well I've managed to get into routine to watch tv for 2 hours every night and just asked my boyfriend if we can watch Run BTS and he eagerly agreed.
He apperantly finds the videos I've shown him hilarious and "now you can share the boys with me"
Guys I hit the boyfriend lottery! 😭🙏🏻

No but you have been making arguments with everyone who has responded to you.
Sometimes it's best to just look away and not engage.
You know very well us ARMY are protective of those boys and you know damn well how we will respond.
People like you always do this - you rile us up and then play victim when we don't just take it lying down.
I know damn well what you've said, and I responded to those things and you try twisting my words around.
And "get out of your feelings"? Tell me, did I even once respond rudely to you? No, I have not.
I have been very calm and level headed.
You however seem to be actively trying to piss everyone who has replied to you off.
English

@arnarut94 @HarrietYikiru @billboard I wasn't responding to you. And never did I make the argument that the song was stolen in this thread. I argued that a netflix documentary does not show the entire process of producing a song.
Please get out of your feelings and stop misinterpreting what I said.

@TheDittoDesk @Dangmil_bunny @billboard Oh I know it takes more time.
What I am pointing out is that Hybe/Big Hit has always heavily documented everything and I have no doubts there are hours upon hours of footage that was not released to public.
English

I watched the 90 min doc. Please realize it takes more than 5 minutes to put together a song.
And I'm not even saying the allegations are true or that BTS knowingly did something. These type of copyright lawsuits is a small industry where these firms try to pick apart the smallest similarities to make a quick settlement.
But music copyright is much more technical and complicated and does not fit how you are trying to defend it via these few minutes of a BTS doc.
English

Amazingly we do realize you can enjoy more than one groups music - I even state I stan two groups in my bio.
However you seem to be trying to find every single reason for why this song is stolen and are arguing with ARMY.
And enjoy the concert you're attending - you can check out my page in about a week when I'll post some pics from my VIP seat ✌🏻
English

@HarrietYikiru @arnarut94 @billboard Lol I'm a BTS fan too, dummy. That's right. People can indeed enjoy more than one group's music. Since it seems you live a sad, pathetic life, I'll send you photos from my concert seats next month.
English

@Dangmil_bunny @TheDittoDesk @billboard Nah, I just have faith that the boys wouldn't release material that is stolen.
Also there is literally a scene where JK comes up with a beat that they end up using.
English

@arnarut94 @TheDittoDesk @billboard Wow, you're either brainwashed or completely delusional. That's not what they're showing in the documentary. They were recording the vocals and writing lyrics. Just look at the song credits ffs
English

No they said over 100 songs were made for the album, they've even talked about "fighting" for them to release solo.
If you watch the documentary you see them literally putting the album together, you literally see them come up with beats and hooks.
Come Over is Yoongi's baby, a gift for ARMY. We have treated it as such and streamed the hell out of it.
English

@arnarut94 @TheDittoDesk @billboard They very openly said that they simply chose among 100 songs that were already produced by a laundry list of American producers. Look at the song credits, ffs. They are arranged in the order of contribution. Only song written by them is Come Over and you guys barely streamed it
English

@Joyfulone613 That is true, however I still have a hard time believing Ryan Tedder and Pdogg would outright steal someone elses work.
And like I said, I truly believe there is enough proof out there to prove this whole thing to be bs.
English

@arnarut94 Yes but the people suing are saying that those people had their demo and copied it. Notice that most of the Korean writers aren't the ones being sued. It's mostly the American ones
English

@LilacSerafina77 @billboard Agreed. And because so many people have falsely accused them of plagiarism I don't believe they wouldn't make sure to have proofs that every song is original.
English

@arnarut94 @billboard Yes a group as big as bts won’t do something so risky as their main song. BTS also has composed and did production of hundreds of their songs. They don’t need to copy others. They been accused all through out their careers about plagiarism it comes from others greed.
English

@Dangmil_bunny @TheDittoDesk @billboard They were heavily involved with every aspect in the making of this album, as you can clearly see in the documentary and as they themselves have said.
English

@arnarut94 @TheDittoDesk @billboard The members of BTS didn't write any of the songs on the album. They used American producers and talked about that openly. They only wrote lyrics (some, not all) and did minor production on a few songs. That's why they aren't listed in the credits as producers
English

@auriejjk @TheDittoDesk @azurelantern @billboard Ah good, I'm not the only one who noticed who this persons faves are
