$KPG.AX Kelly Partners - the share price continues to tank, and yet the founder and MD isn’t buying shares, he’s selling more !! If the business was really worth more than this, wouldn’t he be buying more not selling ? What would Warren do ? Probably not this…

One of Australia’s most reclusive billionaires has paid himself and his family about $1bn in dividends in just five years, including almost $400m in the last year alone, new documents reveal. CoinSpot founder Russell Wilson’s cryptocurrency exchange has racked up huge profits to make it one of Australia’s most successful private companies. John Stensholt has more: bit.ly/4uAIuDO

Well in fairness it's well and truly lodged into the ground. They have never really put forth any meaningful policy in years. Had they not committed to the east-west link prior to the election and put in measures to ensure IBAC could do something useful we may not be in a totally bankrupt position. If LNP wins this election it needs to be a on a tight leash by ONP as they clearly have no strategy to get crime and spending under control.

political damage is cumulative, #ALP is gonna realise this the hard way, if ever; the upcoming recession will pretty much mean CGT changes are dead on arrival and if passed, will be repealed by the next government; #ONP will keep rising in the polls as unemployment goes up with inflation

@Scottjohns86031 @ausnotes @PaulineHansonOz No she won’t. She’s been a politician for 30 years. 30 years of racism, division and grifting whatever ideology that is trending. That’s not leadership. That’s following the money.

In just 5 days, the Fire the Liar campaign has raised $4,000,000 from over 65,000 individual donors with an average donation of $61. This has been the largest and quickest grassroots campaign Australia has seen. The Prime Minister couldn't believe it - he called the donations fake. But One Nation published the independent audit to prove him wrong. We also parked a mobile "Fire the Liar" billboard outside of his office. Tens of thousands of Australians looked at their donation receipts and knew it was real. One Nation even published a heat map showing the locations donations have been flowing in from. One Nation has been transparent - the Prime Minister still hasn't said how much his campaign raised. Our gratitude to you, the Australian people, is immense. Your donations will be used to fight the political class who have forgotten you. The campaign is ongoing at: donate.onenation.org.au/fire-the-liar

That is categorically false. The ABS has datasets for all this very clearly. I'm talking 12+ month temps (non-residents). You're referring to years 2020 to 2023, I'm talking beyond then. You can see the breakdown here. It's running at very high numbers for temps. Way higher than the impact of AirBnB and land banking.

@kennettstan Incorrect. It will force the LNP to make a coalition with ONP if they need the extra 20 seats or so. Ultimately all sides should be looking to completely smash the Allen Labor govt.

@ausnotes If you live in a liberal seat, voting One Nation makes liberals lose and helps Labor in the process. Congrats, idiot.

I don't get the drift as you're statistically incorrect. We only build 170k houses per year and are doing a very poor job of increasing that. Therefore 250k+ (closer to 300k people) coming in per year is adding massive pressure to housing. This is what a number of well known economists are saying including Alan Kohler (ABC), Leith van Onselen (Nuclear Wealth), Shane Oliver (AMP). This is certainly a factor.

@ausnotes @PaulineHansonOz Immigration is not causing housing shortages 🙄 land banking by millionaires is the problem. Air BnB needs to be capped. 5 year restrictions on overseas investors into the rental market needs to be in place. Get the drift?

@kennettstan I'll probs be voting ONP, Libertarians and some others up top then LNP. Labor/Greens go last for me. In my case it certainly doesn't cause an issue that would put Jess at a disadvantage.

@ausnotes Nah a big enough chunk of them are dumb enough to preference Jacinta. they need to back off. The only way to ensure Labor loses is to vote for Jess and the LNP.

Quite a few actually: 1. Duel income tax filing 2. 130k net migration cap (we're running at >250k people at the moment in the middle of a housing crisis and that will keep exacerbating it if we can't build faster than people coming in) 3. Investigating NDIS fraud 4. Streamlining federal functions, lots of duplication between state and federal.
