So called ‘Green’ technology is ruining our environment. By 2050 40 million tonnes of old wind turbine blades could be in landfill.

@7Kiwi Are you a serious person? Coal? Are we de-electrifying our railways and bringing back steam trains as well?!

We're facing an energy crisis that is going to require radical solutions to solve. Many countries are ramping up coal-fired electricity generation in response. Is it time for the UK to go for Coal not Cold? A thread (1/n)

@TiceRichard You believe any old shit don’t you. This guy seems to be ‘forgetting that nearly 90% of new electricity generation installed in China last year were renewables - wind and solar. I wonder why he omits to mention that? So gullible @TiceRichard

@ABridgen Dirty great structures, short lived with half life at best when operating. Expensive to install and even more so to take out and dispose of. Monstrous features of an epic Green lie!

The gullible thing is Jayden. Green energy is not green. Green people and green scientists earn millions of making data for a green agenda. That make you and all of your ilk gullible This photo shows 180 tonnes of steel reinforcement used at the base of a wind turbine. To complete it, approximately 800 cubic meters of concrete remain to be added. It will remain in the ground. IT'S NOT GREEN.

@UKcitizen7 @ABridgen @Scott7507064635 Lies. It’s estimated to be 60,000 tonnes from now until 2030, so 17,000 tonnes a year. Also, they are starting to be recycled so this will reduce as time goes on.

@ABridgen @Scott7507064635 UK disposes of around 60,000 tonnes of wind turbine blades, per year! Expected to hit 100,000 tonnes by 2030. Each made of non-biodegradable composites and toxic resins. Most are buried in UK landfills, others are shipped abroad, offloading our waste onto someone else.

@ABridgen Seems quite small when you consider the planet as a whole will produce 50 Billion tonnes of waste in the next 25 years…

I’ve been attacked in recent weeks. An attempted cancellation. It failed. Tonight, Suicide of a Nation is officially a Sunday Times national bestseller. The people have spoken. They want to know the truth about what is happening to Britain shorturl.at/1BNXB

@jarvis_jim1161 @TimJ64419868 @latimeralder We buy very little from the Middle East - vast majority comes from North America. It will give us zero energy security as we export most oil extracted here and export gas in the summer. We have nowhere to store it.

An Inconvenient Truth for Mr Miliband Three quarters of Britain's energy comes from oil and gas. That's not going to change much any time soon no matter what the ecofantasists dream about So we are surely better off using our own home-grown supplies than relying on imports And using accounting tricks to pretend that we're Saving the World by buying from abroad fools no-one Drill, baby drill! Frack baby, frack! Dig baby, dig!

@SiC_KamY @UKaForceForGood Likely been curtailed because the grid is so old it can’t move all the wind generated electricity where it needs to be.

Wind Turbines need crude oil-derived lubricants to keep them turning. Around 80-100 gallons changed every 1-3 years depending on location. At 12,000 UK Turbines, that's a need for 1.2 million gallons of oil on a regular basis. Has Ed Miliband forgotten that inconvenient fact?

@kevsat999 @UKaForceForGood This is why literally nobody has suggested shuttering it completely. We should of course preserve it for uses where it’s crucial, which is why simply burning it is not a good idea, when there are other ways to generate electricity and power cars.

@TiceRichard The Brent/WTI spread has flipped during the war. US oil is more expensive now. What do you say to that?

Offshore & onshore: we should use it all. Lower prices, jobs and growth. I have said for years: approve Rosebank, Jackdaw and others. Lincolnshire has produced oil for decades and has huge gas reserves. US gas price stayed the same during Iran war as produced domestically. UK gas price has soared 60% due to large imports. Extracting our own gas will lower prices and bring bills down.

@TiceRichard Start a Government Company: Copy the Norwegian model, enhance storage e.g longer than four day's. Write into any contract, that our own reservoirs are full before export lines can flow, Frack & if you are feeling Brave, open the Coking Coal Pit up in Whitehaven Cumbria.

Since 2020, UK councils have spent thousands removing British flags. Bexley: £14,130 Bromley: £13,840 Reading: £11,052 …and more across the country. This isn’t just wasteful, it sends a message. They want to erode national pride. Strip identity. Ignore heritage.
