I'm very proud of the local Peace Committees and HF operators who've volunteered their time to report detailed info on the recent LRA abductions. Without them, the world would simply not know the extent of the recent violence, which has taken place in remote communities. 4/

After sifting through data from @Invisible's early warning network, just calculated that 100+ civilians, including several dozen kids, were abducted in #DRC's Bas Uele/Haut Uele provinces from Jan-March 2019. #LRA was responsible for most, and unidentified AGs for others. 1/

Important HRW report on high levels of armed group violence in and near Bria, CAR. Data from Invisible Children's @CrisisTracker project corroborates this trend. So far in 2018, more than 40% of all attacks against civilians in eastern CAR we've recorded have taken place in Bria.

Our team has been working to confirm reports of a major #LRA attack on Banda, DRC, on Sunday, August 26. Very credible reports that LRA went into center of town and abducted at least 27 people.
