My son 12 year old son got into a fight at school He came home with a black eye "What happened?" I asked "Amir hit me" I was furious Clearly my son must have said something culturally insensitive to that kid I went to the school the next morning "I want to apologize for whatever my son did to Amir" The teacher looked confused "Your son didn't do anything. Amir hit him unprovoked" "Interesting how quickly you take the white child's side" I replied "But sir, your son is the victim here" "Amir is still integrating.
