Christianity, Judaism & Islam have somehow convinced the world that what you believe about the past and about the nature of god is somehow tied to virtue. As if by just simply aligning your worldview with a specific religious sect magically makes you worthy of eternal salvation and gives you access to higher consciousness. It is intellectual poison that has led to massive amounts of brain rot across the world.

@ballknowingman @kaizen000000000 I disagree. Habits, routine, societal norms all often exist without any conscious consent or buy in to anything. Many people don’t have a concise world view, but just go day to acting intuitively, trying different ways of living etc. Doesn’t need any hypothesis

Well, let’s get super crystal clear. Do I believe that there is a specialty of magic called mentalism, where performers use common mental techniques to steer participants into thinking certain things, like ordering a list in a certain way, predicting a binary up/down series of guesses, etc. Yes, I do believe that because it’s a known field of magic. No one is really disputing this. To the extent that that could be possible with Joe Rogan’s pin, I would say it’s an option. Now, could Oz have asked one of Joe’s assistants prior to the trick for his pin? Maybe bribed them? Or somehow retrieved that info from an impression piece of paper that he swiped somehow? I guess. It’s situated in a gray zone between actual deception and genuine mental steering.
