Falcon 9 completes three missions in ~13 hours, launching four astronauts to the @space_station, 74 rideshare payloads to orbit, and adding 23 @Starlink satellites to the constellation

SpaceX and @TMobile have been given emergency special temporary authority by the @FCC to enable @Starlink satellites with direct-to-cell capability to provide coverage for cell phones in the affected areas of Hurricane Helene. The satellites have already been enabled and started broadcasting emergency alerts to cell phones on all networks in North Carolina. In addition, we may test basic texting (SMS) capabilities for most cell phones on the T-Mobile network in North Carolina. SpaceX’s direct-to-cell constellation has not been fully deployed, so all services will be delivered on a best-effort basis.

@mcrs987 Kind of a gimmick when the launches are far enough apart to require stacking multiple photos. What’s the cutoff? Three hours? One hour? Ten hours? Just stack two together. The really cool shot will be when there’s a turnaround rapid enough to do it in one 10-20 min exposure.
