Yesterday, the DCP Traffic Mr. Sandeep Gupta and senior police officials visited our area and took strict note of the ongoing issues caused by illegal parking, road encroachments, and autos blocking public movement. Clear instructions were given to officers and road grabbers/encroachers to immediately vacate public space and ensure smooth, safe, and accident-free movement for both vehicles and pedestrians. 🚶‍♀️🚗 Illegal parking of autos and unnecessary blockage on roads will now be dealt with seriously to restore public convenience and safety. Thank you to the authorities and everyone involved for finally removing the mobile toilet from the area. This is an important first step for the residents of Kailash Hills / East of Kailash. Now the next and most important step is immediate deep cleaning and sanitization of the entire stretch with proper chemicals and disinfectants, along with complete removal of garbage, foul smell, sewage waste, and unhygienic conditions from the site. A permanent solution is needed to stop this area from again becoming a dumping ground, open urination spot, and nuisance zone. The overflowing sewer problem must also be permanently resolved by replacing and upgrading the damaged sewer line infrastructure. Illegal scooter, auto-rickshaw, and informal parking/standing points must also be removed, as they are a major source of encroachment, congestion, littering, and anti-social activities in the area. Suitable barriers/bollards should be installed at entry points to prevent unauthorized cars, scooters, and rickshaws from misusing the pedestrian stretch. This entire stretch has the potential to become a clean green corridor and proper walking path for residents, senior citizens, children, and visitors instead of remaining a neglected unhygienic zone. The toilet van is being put in a haphazard way. Regularly we are paying taxes to different departments, and still being treated like third grade. Will the MLA Ms Shikha Roy have allowed this in front of her residence.
