Indian worker Vipin Kumar has been awarded honorary citizenship by the city of Craiova, Romania, after he jumped into an icy lake and saved the life of a 5-year-old girl. 🇮🇳🇷🇴 For nearly 30 minutes, he held the child above freezing water until rescuers arrived. This is the side of Indians the world rarely sees in headlines: courage, sacrifice, compassion and humanity. Yet stories like this seldom receive the attention that anti-India narratives do. No coverage from Western media outlets. As India's envoy noted, Vipin's actions embodied the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam "The World is One Family." ❤️

@iFaridoon @shekharsuman7 Till now I wait for each episode of SSTonite. And you are absolutely right about us waiting for his monologue... It's just so engaging. I hope he carries on for a long time.

Unki language par command, timing aur wit genuinely outstanding hai. Ek waqt tha jab @KapilSharmaK9 ke show mein bhi current affairs par sharp observations aur topical humour hota tha—fuel prices ho ya pyaaz ke daam, har mudde par ek take hota tha. Aaj kal format kaafi sanitized lagta hai. Shekhar Suman, on the other hand, is taking chances, enjoying himself and going the whole distance. Itna lamba safar tay karne ke baad bhi ek host ke taur par audience ki curiosity ko sustain karna aasaan nahi hota. Shekhar Suman is simply sensational. Kya aap agree karte hain ki Shekhar Suman ne Kapil Sharma ko hosting aur monologue ke maamle mein pichhe chhod diya hai? Apni rai zaroor batayein.

A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room. She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill. Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final. Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat. Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped. She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won. By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million. One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.

One of the unintended consequences of “respect your elders” being interpreted as “never question authority” is that people never learn how to say “no.” When individuals aren’t encouraged to challenge ideas, disagree respectfully, or think independently, sycophancy flourishes. And when leaders are surrounded only by people who agree with them, bad decisions go unchallenged. A society progresses when respect and critical thinking coexist-not when obedience replaces independent thought.

Just thinking aloud. No claims made. This is a Time Magazine Cover from 2011. I reposted @RahulSeeker's tweet yesterday. I have not been able to stop thinking about this cover. 15 years ago, the world was watching two countries and genuinely could not decide which one would lead the future. One of them does now. The other has spent the last decade and a half fighting over whose god is bigger. I am writing this as a common citizen who grew up in this country, who continues to believe in what it is capable of, and who finds it genuinely dificult to explain the drastic economic downturn in these past years through poor governance alone. India in 2011 was a country that had grown at consistently high rates for two decades, had a young demographic profile, and was positioned as a genuine superpower in the making. We were leading the IT revolution at a time when the world had just figured out that technology was the new currency of power. An Indian spotted abroad was asked one common question: "Do you work in IT?" It wasn't a stereotype so much as a signal. The world had noticed. It had clocked which direction we were moving in, and it had started to take us seriously. We weren't just a large country anymore. We were a country with momentum. And momentum, in geopolitics, is the most threatening thing of all. And then there was the one thing that makes powerful nations genuinely nervous. India is an independent nuclear power. Not a dependent state. Not a country whose arsenal exists because someone else permitted it. Ours. On our terms. Answering to nobody. A large, young, fast-growing, technologically ambitious, independently nuclear nation with a democratic mandate and a civilisational confidence. That is not a country you want going fully unchecked. Putting on my tin foil hat, here is the thought I cannot entirely shake: that what has happened to India over the last many years is not simply the consequence of bad governance, corruption, or misfortune. (That of course, is a very real issue laughing in our faces every single day) That some portion of it has been engineered, or at minimum exploited, by actors with a strategic interest in ensuring that India never becomes what it was projected to become. There are powers that have done this before. They don't need to invade a country. They just need to find a wound in it and not let it heal - through tools of debt, dependency, tariffs, and narratives shaped by controlled media or manipulated social media algorithms. And then stay out of the way while it consumes itself. "Just keep the wound open", as they say. Mismanagement of a population's growth trajectory, and its basic needs which is this consistent and directional, feels almost scripted. Let me also say - the fractures in Indian society are not new. Religious tension, caste hierarchy, linguistic division: these have existed for centuries. No government manufactured them from scratch. A country whose population has been allowed to be preoccupied with questions of communal identity, whose minorities are economically anxious and politically marginalised, and whose civil society is increasingly reluctant to speak plainly, is a country whose productive capacity is diminished. A nation fighting itself cannot look outward with coherence. They couldn't tame the dragon. So they slowly fed the elephant poisoned food. Enough to keep it from breaking its own shackles. Enough for it to be grateful to be fed. The elephant didn't die. That was never the plan. A dead elephant attracts attention. It is still standing - tall above others, swaying, looking busy, occasionally making noise, hoping to get better, some day. Someone needed only one new superpower to emerge. Not two. Someone did not want a second China. And someone got exactly what they needed.

Another day… Another achievement by @dpradhanbjp… After late start to CBSE reevaluation portal, students now find that payment can ONLY be made via SBI, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda or Indian Bank. So if a student or their parents don’t have an account in these banks, they can’t apply for reevaluation! Mismanagement taken to new heights by the PM and his Cabinet

How to make a key employee feel like an owner without giving them ownership: Phantom equity. You (and your partners) own 100% of the business. You create a separate document called a phantom stock program. It mirrors your equity but lives outside your operating structure. It says: “If we ever sell this business, you get X%.” No liability. No tax consequences. No changes to your LLC or corporate docs. But if they leave, it goes away. Now your A player is building the business like they own it. Because in the outcome that matters most, they do. It's the cleanest way to recruit, retain, and align without giving up control.

Complete mess. #CBSE My daughter finally received the scanned copies of 4 answer sheets and to our shock, page number 22 is missing from one of the documents. On top of that, marks have not been awarded for several answers that exactly match the official answer key. And this isn’t limited to just one paper the same issue appears across multiple subjects. Instead of focusing on competitive exams and college admissions, students are being forced to run from pillar to post just to understand why correct answers were ignored or pages went missing. Do the authorities even understand what 30-35 marks can mean for a Class 12 student whose entire future and admission process depends on these scores? This is not a small administrative lapse. This is playing with the careers, mental health and future of thousands of students. Shame on a system that continues to fail students. And shame on those at the helm who continue to remain silent while young lives are pushed into anxiety and uncertainty. The system has failed us once again. Alas. #CBSE @cbseindia29 @AllCBSENews @cbse_guide @dpradhanbjp @PMOIndia
Geetu Moza@Geetu_Moza

Finally, we received the answer sheets and the student is short by 30 marks. #CBSE Do you understand what that means for a Class 12 student whose entire college admission process depends on these scores? You experimented with their future while students and parents were left in complete uncertainty for days. The emotional stress, anxiety and loss of trust caused by this entire process is unacceptable. This is not just about marks on paper. It is about careers, opportunities and the future of young students. Such negligence from authorities responsible for handling something this critical cannot be brushed aside. @dpradhanbjp @cbseindia29 @AllCBSENews @cbse_guide @PMOIndia

I don’t know what is going on with CBSE but if what this student claiming & showing here is right, then there is no credibility to entire CBSE result this year. You are just adding up to the stress on students. They will lose confidence in every setup & entire system like this.
