I’m a ridiculously basic guy but even I was able to grasp that by putting things like NIC up would make employers like me less able to employ. What i find staggering is how advisors aren’t advising, on what seems like basic economics to everyone else

@boltstuff Heaven help us in April! Fair pay yes, fair income for the owner yes, but it isn’t fair when staff pay causes either closure or the owner earning zero and/or subsidising the staff wage.

Even the Bank of England call out the rise in minimum wage as a contributing factor.
We all agree good pay rates are important, but not when the consequences outweigh the benefit.

Kate Dearden is listed on the sector council as that title, but it isn’t actually her role according to government?
