Lesser Known story of 'Porinju' aka 'Francis' From selling the family home at 16 to buying it back with stock market gains — the incredible journey of Porinju Veliyath, Kerala’s Small-Cap Czar. Born in 1962 in Chalakudy village (Thrissur, Kerala) into a lower-middle-class family, financial troubles hit hard. At just 16, the family had to sell their home to clear debts. With those profits, Porinju did something emotional: he bought back the exact family land his family had sold decades earlier due to debt. He built a beautiful farmhouse on it.
