What makes them harder? Elaborate And yeah, souls bosses die when you breathe at them in comparison to MH. A bad MH player can take 30+ minutes on bosses. A bad souls player will still beat bosses in less than 5 minutes anyway. The best MH players with optimized builds will kill bosses in 2-4 minutes, and the best souls players with optimized builds will kill bosses in 5 seconds because they can just 1/2 shot them. It's not comparable

@ExoGhost @Almighty_Enigma I played MH before i played souls games so naturaly they are harder to me in souls game i always feel weak compared to mh where i played thousands of hours compared to my couple hundred on souls games

That's like, inconceivable to me The combat mechanics are much simpler, bosses die in 2 minutes on average, you have more effective health than most bosses, there's no time limit or DPS checks, you have more i-frames, positioning matters much less since you can i-frame the vast majority of attacks instead. What did you find harder about them?

@ExoGhost @Almighty_Enigma My oppinion is probably mh bias bc i played all mh from freedom2 up until now also master rank of course thats why it might be easyer to me and i played ds 3 bloodbourne a little bit and elden ring and there were way harder to me idk

Have you played master rank in a MH game or are you basing this on the tutorial? Running away and healing does not kill the monster. You have to kill it. There's a time limit. I can also stay at a distance in a souls game, do ranged attacks, the boss can't do anything to me and I win anyway. Or I can simply throw myself at the boss, get hit a bunch, and still win because I have more EHP than most bosses

@Almighty_Enigma Yeah but i would say soulsbourne games are way harder wich is clear but you as a player you learn boss patterns and all that. meanwhile you can almost infinitely heal and run away in MH especially in the newer games its easy as fuck. So i would argue yes absolutely they do

@brgule64 Similar genres, but they differ quite a bit in gameplay and strategy. For example, the Souls games give you generous i-frames on dodge. Whereas the standard amount of i-frames you get in MH are miniscule. The combat of both series is also very different.
