@briandstone Guess where consumer reports gets there revenue?
English

Why in the world is Consumer Reports quoting these insane, unrealistic insurance rates for Teslas? I’ve never heard of anyone paying $400/mo to insure a Model 3.

@briandstone Per consumer reports….interesting…I’ll give my insurance company a call to see what they say.

I finally got to ride in a Lucid Gravity last weekend, and it did not disappoint. Here are my thoughts:
- It definitely looks better in person, especially the rear portion of the vehicle.
- Just like with the Air, the Gravity looks best all blacked out!
- The real Tahoe leather interior was top-notch, and I can't get over how good it smelled haha.
- The NVH in the Gravity was excellent, and I heard absolutely zero rattles or squeaks after several drives.
- The drivetrain was quiet and super smooth, especially when decelerating with regen.
- One of my favorite little features as a passenger was the backseat trays that fold out, much like on an airplane.
- The pillar vents for the rear passenger seats were a nice touch; however, the fan speeds didn't seem strong enough.
Overall, I came away super impressed. Shoutout to @briandstone and jeremyjudkins_ for showing me Boca Grande and the Gravity!

@jaredvegas29 @brian_mac8419 FL insurance is cheap if you get the right carrier
English

@briandstone @brian_mac8419 Aren't you in Florida? I was considering moving there and was told my car insurance would double. I pay $200/mo in PA
English

@JamesRLandrum @ianzelbo I have to disagree with you on that.
Age plays a large factor in insurance rates. Especially for vehicles that they consider performance rated aka fast cars
English

@briandstone @ianzelbo Age doesn’t play a “big factor.” It is a factor but it’s wildly overstated how much it impacts rates.

My beloved mobile charger that came with my Cybertruck doesn’t seem to be working anymore.
It flashes a little bit of red when you first plug it in, then it goes away.
When you try to charge a Tesla it gives an error “charging equipment not recognized.”
This happens with multiple Teslas and it happens with both the 14-50 and 5-15 adapters.
Tesla Wall Connector charges just fine so it seems to be the mobile connector itself specifically.
Is there a reset switch on this thing somewhere? Or I likely need to get a replacement? At almost two years old am I covered for a replacement or do I need to buy a new one?
Help @grok

English

@machineica No bubble here - read all of the comments. 90% pay less than $150/mo.
English

@briandstone Our model y has the highest insurance cost I've ever paid. So nice bubble you're living in.
English

@briandstone Move to Southern California. With a clean driving recording i pay $5600 per year for a model x and a Ram 2500. Additionally I pay annual cost of $3700 for a GT500 with cap mileage of 5K miles or less per year (my weekend car). 🤯
English

@ianzelbo Shew..painful. You are right, age plays a big factor. If you could get a parent to insure it and add you as a driver it would be much less
English

@briandstone I was quoted $464 a month for a model 3 performance from state farm a month ago but I’m 22
